Detailed Reviews
This hotel is a diamond in the rough! It has been recently renovated and is VERY clean and comfortable. The beds are new and extremely comfortable. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. They take pride in their flowers, upkeep of the building, and providing fresh, homemade breakfast options. The breakfast room has so many options to choose from. It is not what you would expect as a traditional hotel breakfast as the selection is so wide ranging and not like a commercial breakfast.

When they renovated this place, they knew what was important! The beds are just superb! the best we've ever had in any hotel/motel....pillows lovely too. Next best thing is the free breakfast which is really above and beyond what you would expect with a complete selection of bagels, muffins, cereals, eggs, cheese, and fresh things such as grapes, strawberries, and blueberries along with juices. Martin and Sherry are the perfect hosts, they oversee everything if not doing it themselves which they are a lot of the time! You are made to feel welcome here, as the two of them make sure that you are comfortable and have all that you need in their very friendly way. We will stay here anytime we're in the area - bonus - if you're a rodeo fan, the grounds are only a short walk away!

Very clean, rooms are large and well kept! Front desk staff was beyond helpful. I had to turn around in a snow storm on my drive to Edmonton and at 10pm when I checked in she opened the dining room for me so I could make a tea and grab a snack. Would highly recommend!!

We really liked staying at the Stampeder Inn. The couple that own it are very nice and helpful.
The free breakfast was good as well there was a lot to choose from.
We stayed in a renovated room which was nice and clean.
I found the beds very comfortable and the sheets were nice and soft.
The room itself was nice and very clean. Our room had a good sized mini fridge and microwave.
The Stampeder Inn itself was nice and quiet, there were no kids running up and down the hallway late into the night as we have heard from friends about some of the other hotels in Ponoka.
I would stay at the Stampeder Inn again for sure.

Friendly staff, clean room, excellent breakfast. We stayed during the busy time of the Ponoka Stampede - our room was on the main floor with inside access. Nice and quiet. Staff were happy to answer any questions we had. The beds were super comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud.

This little Inn just off the highway is a hidden gem. I found it by chance in November when winter came suddenly and the roads were extremely slippery and dangerous.
I called a few places while sitting still on the icy highway and finally found an available room here. The gentleman on the phone was very kind and patient, and when I got there a couple of hours later there was a full lobby with many stranded travellers. The husband and wife managers were super professional and worked really hard to accommodate everyone, and were just great people. The whole place is clean and comforting, and they are ale great pride in running a top-notch place. They even have fresh breakfast with all you need right there with morning coffee and tea and juices etc.
The room was awesome and clean, and newly renovated. Everyone there was so grateful to have such a great place to be safe for the night.
And the steak house next door is perfect for real home-cooked food as well!
I’ll definitely keep it in mind for another time, and highly recommend it:)

This place was awesome! They were so accomodating and really friendly! The price was right and they had a wonderful breakfast, with so much to choose from. The breakfast was open the entire morning from 5am-1pm, so we had lots of time to access it. The rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend this as a place to stay in Ponoka!

This is the second stay this year. The owner/operator, Sherry, was the friendliest, most accommodating host. She went the extra mile to give us the little extras that made our stay just delightful.
The rooms were spacious and extremely clean.

Ten of us stayed at the Stampeder in Ponoka on the Labour Day weekend, golfing at Wolf Creek. We couldn't have made a better choice.
The rooms are immaculate and comfortable, couldn't ask for more. Martin and Sherry are great hosts, and let us set up some chairs in the area outside the SW corner of the motel so we could visit with each other. They really made us feel welcome there, and we all had a great trip.
Thanks Sherry and Martin!
