We spent one night mid-week here - the resort was quiet, a few others guests with families were visible during the day. At night the restaurant filled and was noticeably busier. The suite was clean, beautifully scented, and the staff were super friendly. We particularly enjoyed the warm and bubbly personality of the bartender. In addition to beautiful grounds, they...

Dear "nlee5" Only one night....that is way to short :) But thank you for your stay and this great review! Many guests comment that it seem very quiet even when we fully booked, it have a lot to do with the huge garden and the fact that a lot of guests after lazing around the resort for the first few...

You will love this beautiful island truly set in paradise. The boat prices out of hour back to the main land are a bit expensive otherwise welcome to heaven on earth. The food is as good as the rest of this beautiful spot in the world you will certainly enjoy your stay here and the resort is very close to...

Dear Jill Thank you so much for choosing us to stay with in Paradise :) Our boat prices are private, include meals and a English speaking guide, so yes they are a bit more expensive that the normal local boat. True that we are so close to many major cities like Bangkok, KL and Singapore. And within 1 hour 30...

My friend and I spent 3 nights here in February. We chose this resort to get away from the crowds of Phuket and Koyao did not disappoint. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The beach and pool are beautiful. Beware the recommended kayak to Koh Nok island you may read about in your room's info book. It was quite...

Dear John Thank you for your recent stay and for this great review. I had to laugh a bit at your comment about kayaking to Koh Nok, a great little Island with a good beach at all tides, the best of the Island is that you can climb to the top of the outcrop and the best spot to take...

Loved this little island and hotel. The Staff must be recognised for their hard work and genuine approach to give a great friendly service. I hope the fact rooms are not locked will continue with trustworthy guests as this is how things should be! (Large safes are provided in room) We stayed in a studio that was open,  all we...

Dear Travelbug :) What a great review, thank you so much! We just love reading a review like this, you obviously enjoyed the resort the way we wish our guests would. One need to appreciate being close to nature to really enjoy your stay here, yes plenty of natural sounds that may keep a city sleeker awake at night. You...

The resort is good and the island is very pretty but our experience was let down by the room. If you stay in one of the more expensive villas then this resort probably delivers what it should, but don’t stay in the cheaper rooms. We stayed in a 'Sea Breeze Studio' which was a room on top of the bar...

Dear Laurence Thank you for your recent stay with us. Yes the Sea Breeze Studios are much more affordable than the rest of the resort, they date back to when the resort was fully open air. We would advise future guests to read room descriptions so they know what to expect before they book, certainly before they arrive. Glad to...

As the finale days of our Thiland vacation we chose this resort, and found it to be a charming, isolated place with a magnificent view and beach. Five days passed by without even noticing and we didnt take any boat trip (even the free ones offered by the resort) as we didnt want to miss a moment here. The facilities...

If you looking for a resort with beach front, Koyao Island Resort is one of the best with very long beach in front of every room. Most resorts you have to walk across the road to go to the beach. Healthy breakfast was the part that I love; lots of fresh vegetable and fruits. They have seafood BBQ dinner every...

This is a very simple, tastefully done beach bungalow hotel. Everything is very clean, simple, authentic and paired back. No cheese or kitsch in sight. Our room was more of a "roof" - we basically slept outside in the treetops, no walls! Just a thatched roof and mosquito netting as our shelter. This was a one-of-a-kind experience. We compared it...

I like this resort but please be aware that it is NOT a luxury resort. You won't get Aman or Six Senses service nor cleanliness. You get lots of mozzies - they fly out when you open the bathroom door and the wardrobe, they bite you as you sit on the loo, they come out of your shoes. You have...

Dear Han Thank you for your recent stay with us and for taking the time to write your opinion here. I can't help but wonder if you had a look at the price differance between Six Senses, Aman and us, a rather unfair comparison. Yes we have a mosquito problem this season, the Six Senses is right next to us...

We are now three nights into our seven night stay at Koyao Island Resort, and we are having a wonderful time. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our villas are built in the original Andaman Sea - gypsy style which is optimal for comfort and for the environment. We have used unique local resources with a traditional background while still maintaining, if not surpassing, all modern standards. The mangrove palm leaf roofs of our villas breathe and do not store heat, and air conditioners are definitely not needed. All villas have an undisturbed, spectacular sea view of the famous Phang Nga Bay and can be opened up to the stars at night - and in the morning the rising sun shines onto the beds. ... more   less
