This little hidden gem is a must stay! Welcoming, and friendly owners Renette and Norm were the perfect hosts. We stayed two nights and had a wonderful time with lots of laughs, good conversations and meeting a few of their neighbors that had popped in for visits. We were treated to the best seafood breakfast each morning, delicious! Definately a winner!
The purpose of our trip was to tour St Anne’s university. We live in the the province so often don’t stay overnight in these charming little communities. I just have to say the owners, Norm and Renette, are the kindest and most accommodating people I have ever met. The house is super cozy too. We honestly felt like family during our stay. Can’t wait on go back and stay with our new friends again! Highly recommend.
We just loved this B&B. Host made us fell just like we were family. We had 2 rooms and there are 3 in totals but no one was in the 3rd one so we had the full too floor to ourselves. There is only one bathroom for the 3 rooms. Rooms were all good size and beds were comfy. The best part was the amazing breakfast!! We made our order the night before and what time we wanted ready for and man did they ever delivered!! 4 different orders and they were all made to perfection and served on time!! Thanks again for the wonderfull stay!!
My wife and I attended a friend’s wedding in Clare, NS this past weekend. Krista booked us a room at Su Ben about 5 km from the wedding venue. We arrived mid-afternoon to get ready for the early evening event. Renette & Norm immediately made us feel very welcome. We missed the musical part of kitchen party while at the wedding but sat down with our hosts and some regular guests (who stay to golf in Clare) for a drink and a chat – thoroughly enjoyable. The room, like the rest of the house, was very comfortable and inviting. Breakfast was delicious, I had bacon and eggs (great!) while Kris had a lovely, generous lobster omelette. After breakfast, we exchanged good-byes and headed home. Great overnight trip made all that much better by staying with such personable folks in their lovely home. We are not regular travellers to the French Shore but, if the opportunity arises, I know where we will try to book first… Merci Beaucoup, Renette & Norm!…
Norm and Renette made our first time to Nova Scotia a wonderful experience. Hospitality was fantastic, food was beyond great. They gave us some tips on the local attractions to see. They made us feel at home. We will definitely be back in September for another few days.
