The sand road getting there is better than the 11 kms of tarred potholes after that. Its that bad! But thats where my negativity ends. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional. We wanted for nothing. The rooms are immaculate, very 5 star-ish decor. The food was superb, well presented (both breakfast and dinner). Bar prices were very...

Most magnificentjy peaceful setting. Spacious and tastefully decorated rooms with all the special touches. Top class cuisine and lots to do,,, walking, riding, boating or just restfully doing nothing at all. Will be back that's for sure!

What else to write. It's beautiful, comfortable and very welcoming. The food is prepared by a great chef. There are stunning views and the staff are able to recommend walks, rides, boats as well as just doing nothing

The 17 kilometer road that you take to get to Wild Horses, once you turn off the main road, can be a tad challenging. We made it fine with our little putt-putt of a car. I liken it to slaying a dragon to reach the pot of gold and what an amazing treasure Wild Horses Lodge is. What words are...

A very private lodge with only 4 rooms on the banks of the Sterkfontein Dam in the Drakensberg. The accommodation is excellent and the food is outstanding. We have been visiting the Berg for over 20 years and never new that such an isolated excellent lodge exists.

This is a great place to stay, it is intimate with 4 rooms only, has a stunning view of the Drakensberg foothills and the Sterkfontein Dam. Excellent home cooked meals are included. Very romantic. They even offered us a picnic basket for our hike to the Amphitheater. Service was very personal and attentive, would highly recommend this place to anyone...

I thought I knew every five star stop over between JHB and Durban, but oh how wrong I was and what a serendipitous discovery Wild Horses proved to be. Whilst the dirt road through a nature reserve to reach it may be challenging, it also adds to the adventure and makes one further appreciative of the extent of the sophistication...

We had a magical time at Wild Horses. As the only guests there, we were spoilt, charmed and loved to say the least! We stayed in the Zebra room which was beautiful and watching the sunrise on the balcony was breath taking. Our hosts were exceptional! Having a personal chef cook us each meal was such a treat. Thank you...
