Detailed Reviews
Lovely hotel, stayed many times and will return. The only reason it is not 5 star is because our last visit was a bit daunting because we had booked a half board online offer but none of the staff knew anything about it. The hotel manager had impeccable English and was very friendly and helpful. Although he was unaware of the offer he said we could have a starter and a main, or a main and dessert, which we thought was very reasonable. The food was 5 stars, very good quality and excellent service. However in the morning we were very surprised to be told we had to pay a 20 euro supplement. We had paid all the invoice so was expecting to pay for just drinks. I explained we had specifically asked what was included in the half board offer, so asked what exactly the breakdown of the supplement was. The lady was unable to explain exactly the breakdown of this supplement and then became very grumpy and abrupt and charged us for the drinks. Another member of staff was also unhelpful, I asked for salt and pepper and he tried to take the room number. I then asked for sel et poivre and he shrugged his shoulders, not sure what nationality he was?? He never asked another member of staff to help. Overall an excellent hotel, great location, high standard food, just a shame about a couple of staff who could of done better.

The hotel is well connected to the highway and we probably used by most guests as a stop-over. It's a good fit for that.
The rooms are ibis typically rather basic but everything worked and the wifi was good. The cleanliness was still ok.
The breakfast was very varied and tasteful. Dinner was exactly the opposite – it didn’t even reach fast food restaurants in terms of taste.

We chose this Ibis hotel as a convenient stopover on our drive to Chamonix in case the Autoroute Blanche might be affected by winter snow. What a delight it turned out to be. The proprietor, Denis, and his team could not have been more helpful or attentive.
Evidence of personal touches were everywhere. The dining room, its decor and its menus were exceptional. I’ve never seen it’s like in an Ibis before. Likewise the breakfast buffet. Our room (21) on the ground floor was perfectly comfortable too.
The hotel, which has a pool that would be pleasant in the summer months, has plenty of free parking and is just across the way from a massive Carrefour with a filling station and other shops. Access to or from the A6 and A40 is very easy.
Wouldn’t be surprised if this wasn’t one of the best Ibis’ in France. In future we shall always make a stop over here on our way down to Chamonix.

One night stopover during a trip; this hotel has clean rooms and also serves breakfast and dinner. Breakfast without anything special and therefore quite anonymous. The dinner, however, could have been decent if the chicken served had not been undercooked. I also asked for a glass of house white wine which I was charged nine euros for, I think I was exaggerating.

Despite a pleasant room at the Ibis hotel in Mâcon Sud, our experience at the restaurant was disappointing. When we asked to move our dinner reservation forward by 30 minutes, despite the restaurant being available, the manager refused without explanation. While we waited to get an appetizer, the service was slow and inefficient. Frustratingly, other guests without reservations were welcomed to dine, while our request was ignored. The lady at reception was welcoming, but the manager's lack of professionalism seriously tarnished our experience. Hopefully improvements will be made to provide better service to customers.

I was charged for a room without notifying me on the day of departure when paying. Following multiple calls, the hotel management made an "effort" to reduce by around 50% (supposedly that at the time of check-in I made a mistake) by asking to contact the group Accor. This referred me to the management of the hotel (franchisee)!
Not very commercial from this brand!

We used this hotel for one night on our way out and one night on our way home. Very nice staff, clean nice rooms and good food. Don’t those the preorder dinner in the half board offer because the normal dining card is so much better. More expensive but worth it😊. Great breakfast from early in the morning.

the quality of services has declined. the person at the reception is still charming. however the poorly organized catering service. after 25 min wait we left for dinner elsewhere followed by another couple. the menu menu very limited a meat a fish and a burger. next to last year very different. same for breakfast at 9.15am there was not much left and the tables were not cleaned. pity I do not think we will return

The hotel is located in an area with several hotels, tank facilities, restaurant (mostly fast food) and a large Carrefour supermarket. It is very cared for, the rooms are clean and spacious enough for a night sleep. Typically a hotel for the transit. Simply one of the better hotels at a decent price. We will definitely book again.

Great breakfast (which is open from 6am, perfect when getting back on the road), clean small room, good shower, secure store for bikes, easy parking, little but nice pool with a limited sitting area, perfect for a refresh after a long drive.
Restaurant, more a bistro, basic, simple with limited food.
Hotel is on a trading estate with a huge shopping centre a two minute walk across a parking lot so you could if you wished get yourself a picnic from the massive Carrefour or a takeaway.
Staff happy to help.
Recommend for a one night stop going south from Calais, good value too.

Royal Tunbridge Wells, United Kingdom6 contributions2 helpful votesIs breakfast included in the room rate or is there a charge, if so, how much is this? Thank you.
Our rate booked through the arcor homepage was without breakfast. It would have cost 9,50€ extra per person. We did not have breakfast, but it smelled delicious.
Bien cordialement
Édith, gérante.
