I have stayed at The Elms several times now. Always a comfortable stay, with a particularly good breakfast. This is appreciated as I am a vegetarian which can cause complications when eating out... but I have no such problems at The Elms. I find the beds very comfortable and always sleep well. The staff are friendly and helpful. The last...

It is what it is! You want a bed, you get one you want a shower, you get one, breakfast is passable and the bar is acceptable. If you looking for luxury then it's not for you. If you looking for b&b without the bells and whistles and a decent selection on the evening menu with a decent bar then...

Large comfortable room in the main building, but note there is no lift! I didn't use the facilities beyond a nightcap at the bar each evening as I was visiting friends in the neighbourhood so ate with them.

we called in here at the weekend for brunch. the Breakfast which consisted of 2 fried eggs, tomato, mushrooms, beans, hash browns, and what they called two "sausages". Sausages they were not. I cleared the plate as I was hungry (no breakfast and this was two o'clock). The polite server asked if I had enjoyed it so I told him...

We booked a room here just for a night and weren't expecting much after reading some reviews- however, there was nothing else available and we were attending a function here, so it was convenient. The hotel has a great location, right on the main road just outside the town and there is masses of parking in what are very pleasant...

Comfortable room. On the small side but good value. Liked the tea and coffee making facilities in room. The Beds were very comfortable and clean. Good location. The bin men made a lot of noise early on Monday morning!

I chose this as it was near to where I needed to be for an event at Retford over the August Bank Holiday weekend, arriving on Saturday evening and leaving on the Monday morning. Was given room 5, which was OK but looking very tired, with damaged ceiling due to a water leak I suspect, one curtain would not meet...
