The villa is on the outskirts of a small town Thiers. Codes are issued to gain entry to the Villa gates, front door and room. Dinner is served in the dining room but a very good breakfast is brought to your room.
The Good: The room was refurbished and was clean. It goes down hill from there. The hotel is hard to find, signage is bad, parking is difficult. We checked in late, had to call someone to unlock the gate to park. We needed a code to get into the hotel, as no one is actually at the hotel. Breakfast consisted to going out in the hallway to find your food, which was not there as another room had taken it. Bottom line is that they need to fix a lot of things. Don't ever plan on staying there again. Not worth the hassle.
The villa used to be the house of a wealthy family, it is located on the avenue going to the oldest part of Thiers. It has been totaly refurbished. The rooms are spacious and confortable with a nice view on the garden and the old city. I didn't really liked the "self served inroom breakfast", and the other problem, which will hopefully be solved soon is parking. The hotel is on a curve of an avenue with heavy traffic and with no place to park; currently you have to cross the avenue in order to use the parking lot of the knives factory in front, but it can dangerous.
Sorry not a good experience, turned up nobody there , had to get a french lady to call the owner as all i got was an answer machine. they were not expecting us. Breakfast was in the room - please tell me how you are expected to eat cereals off a plate. Was glad to leave
