Hotel with nice rooms and quiet area, at the time of check in (Corona virus time) has no one at reception so I had to call a number to open the main door. Would be great to inform this by mail on how to check in if no receptionist is available. Wifi was slow on my first day and had a room changed for the next day (bit better) but was not really fast connection overall. Asked for breakfasts but did not get the delivery and after calling I was told that breakfasts is not available due to corona virus, if this is the case would be great to be advised when they get the breakfasts order rather than leaving the request on reception. After all those issues I had a letter from reception to apologize for those issues which I appreciate it but should have been informed of those areas before. It is really hard to travel at the moment with the coronavirus issue but what a guest needs is that the hotel comunication is clear and simple making a smooth stay. I need to travel to different locations in Belgium at the moment (COVID time) and most hotels offer clear information and up to now I never had an issue up to now. If the other hotels adapt to the new system why others don’t ???....

I found the hotel clean and most of the staff friendly and helpful, apart form the receptionist who was unproffessional and disinterested. I was not infromed of check in corfu when there was nobody at reception late at night . As a consequence i lost my reservation and they did not seem to how to resolve it . it was resolved

Be aware that the front desk is open only until 23:00 which is not communicated to the guests in any possible way. They purposely allow late night reservations so they can get paid for service they don't provide. No one ever bothered returning out emails or phone calls. They just don't care if you are stuck in the middle of the night in front of their locked door. This is very misleading not to mention that it is illegal to take money for services never provided. Unbelievable :(

Myself and my wife booked this hotel as it boasted a restaurant. We also asked for a downstairs room as I am disabled and my wife has difficulty walking. When we arrived we were put in an upstairs room. That would have been ok, however there is no lift and as we were originally staying 3 days it would have been impossible to keep climbing the stairs. There is no on site restaurant as stated in the information. But we were told that there was a local one. However it’s about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. That’s ok if you like pizza. The receptionist did find us a downstairs room but it had a leaky toilet and the mirror was missing from the fixture on the wall and she stated that it smelt (due to the leaky toilet) In the original booking we asked for a kettle as again this was stated in the information. This was not available and one could not be found. We decided not to stay at this hotel and as a result I spoke with the owner. He was sorry that we did not like his hotel but refused to refund our money stating that we should get in contact with the original company and speak with them. We did and the booking was cancelled. On our return to the uk I attempted to get our money returned. This proved very difficult as the Hobbit hotel refused to speak with me. After nearly 2 months and with the intervention of Booking.com who were very helpful and assisted us we got our money back. WARNING If you book this hotel don’t make the mistakes we made. Make sure that you view the room. Check that the information given and things you request are there before you pay. Otherwise you will have a job getting your money back. We were lucky, we had Booking.com to help us. I have to give this one star. But it’s not worth that for the service.

The hotel is located in a rural area of Zaventem but just few minutes drive from Brussels airport. The staff is friendly, helpful and does the job quickly. Very pleasant! The hotel is a bit simplistic and functional in style, but not primitive. And all is tidy and clean. Still it’s lacking a bit of atmosphere, and the “hobbit” connection isn’t quite so obvious. The hotel rooms have a good size. The beds are comfortable. And it’s quite silent. I slept at least very good. The breakfast selection is very good. And i was offered freshly prepared eggs (fried, scrambled, boiled, omelette) in addition to the buffet. Nice, a very good start into the day! It’s a recommendation for those who travel by car (free parking) as there is no shuttle service to the airport. Very good value for money !
