One word for our stay...AWFUL! Don't even know where to start...it was just awful! This hotel is recommended if you are coming to see the Tintin Museum, as it is a 10 minute walk from the hotel to the museum. However, DON'T BOTHER! The staff are lazy and unprofessional. The hotel is dirty and falling to pieces. There is hardly any staff and when there is staff they never answer the phone, they never deal with any problems. The hotel was run down, the drinks machine was broken the whole few days we stayed. I fixed it once after complaining so many times about getting it sorted. We ate once in the restaurant in the evening, that wasn't up too much, which was why we ate out every night. The hotel room was exceptionally smaller than we thought, despite having a twin room. We had a balcony which was a total hazard and I fell over the step and knocked my foot really badly. Nobody ever picked up the phone and reception was mainly unmanned. The lift kept breaking down and so we had to use the stairs. It spoilt our visit to the museum. Save your money and stay a little further away. The Herge museum need to review why this hotel is recommended. They could do so much more with the decor and turning it into the main herge hotel to stay in, bu, instead there is a wasted opportunity here. Such a shame! Awful!…
Very small and ugly room. Door to the toilett had a huge gap and did not close properly. Staff did not speak english at all only french. Asked for spare blanket and got one without any cover. Just not acceptable.
Hotel is just a 15 min away by foot from station/shops/bars/restaurants ...near Herge museum - hotel has a nice bar with tables outside .. hotel menu in restaurant has good choices Loved my stay here!
It was part of a package, wouldn’t have booked it myself. A bit out of the way in the middle of wooded parkland. Our stay was during a very hot spell so we would have welcomed air con but at least the hotel provided fans. The granola at breakfast was so set in the container I think I was the only one to choose this for a while. The bathroom was clean but we found crumbs and whole biscuits under the bed. The free coffee machine in the corridor didn’t work at all during our stay.
I visit this hotel often as my company prefers it for all our conferences and seminars. The external area is great.. To sit, to walk, for team building activities.. Feels like being in a true village.. The rooms are basic, to the limit.. No air-condition, narrow and old.. The staff is not prof but they are doing their best...
