We made our way to Laiya, San Juan, Batangas without any resort reservations and was looking at a potential resort but was almost turned away because they only accepted day-trippers beginning at 2pm (it was 1130am when we arrived). Since a big group had reserved the resort the night before, one of the receptionists said that we can already use...

First off, I'm just really grateful that there's a beach 2.5 hours from Manila that isn't overrun by beach huts, lounge chairs, trash and mendicants. I hope they keep their very long & wide stretch of beach as near-pristine as it is now. This may mean less accommodations, and so, less revenue, but it's for this pristine beach that I'm...

the staffs are not customer service oriented. the beach is beautiful but there's no experience at all due to their people. they don't have the knowledge to treat there guest politely. and also we were situated at the area where there's teambuilding, it was too noisy.

being a tourism industry professional, I initially wanted to commend the service and upkeep of the resort. On our 2nd day, we found out ourselves (they didn't inform us) when we inquired about their water activities that use of kayak is complimentary. We also availed their banana boat and fly fish and finished at around 11:30am. There were 6 of...

Okay don't get me wrong the place is nice good to relax. First, you spend money because you want to relax and enjoy your holiday. And as a guest I'am expecting high standard about their service especially management but in return it gives me/us disappointment. And the WORST part is.. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE MISSING TOWELS and HANGERS for 950pesos...

The best stretch of sand in Laiya. I'm a Batangas native, and I often regard Laiya as something to be..overrated, crowded, and dirty- all that changed when I went to Virgin! They don't have a pool, though. They may have to consider adding this as the beach can go really deep just by several steps.

Wanted a quick getaway and booked this resort within days from the planned trip. Ended up having an amazing overnight stay. Stayed at the bed parasols right in front of the beach. Just note that complete privacy is not available as the parasols were only surrounded by curtains which had gaps at the corners. Communal bathrooms are right by the...

100% recommended. We were a group of 13 ppl and booked Casitas ( rooms on the beach). The rooms themselves although simple were very lovely, especially the patio where one might have a drink or stay chatting at night. The service was impeccable. No matter whether you are on the beach or in the restaurant or in your casita, you...

It is more expensive than other resorts but the price is worth it. The beach is vast and clean. It is well-maintained by the staff who are constantly raking the leaves and weeds out of the shore. Place is peaceful. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Guests are mostly expats. Overall, a great place to relax.

We wanted to make a quick trip to the beach after the holidays and before the kids went back to school and our first option is Batangas. Since we're not quite fuzzy about accommodations and have experienced Laiya before, we chose Virgin Beach for a change. We walked in with no reservations and stayed at their picnic area which had...
