Bakour Lanzarote Splash hotel is celebrated for its exuberant family atmosphere, complete with a children's disco and entertainment, although the vibrancy may encroach upon the tranquility of the rooms for some. The establishment is lauded for its excellent value, cleanliness, and well-kept modern rooms. While the staff garners acclaim for their warmth and efficiency, there are occasional mentions of sluggish service. Its prime location is a stone's throw from beaches and local attractions, and the family-centric amenities, especially the pool, are a highlight for guests seeking fun-filled stays.

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel.
First impressions were fantastic, we had a swift check in and were in our rooms within 10 minutes of arriving.
Rooms are beautifully decorated, very modern. Some small touches still needed. The rooms came with a microwave kettle and fridge. No cups though if you wanted to make tea/coffee. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels replenished. The air con was a god send. Only downside to the room was the shower tended to flood onto the bathroom floor making it very slippy.
The first 4/5 days of the holiday were fantastic in terms of food and drink. We had a massive choice of food everyday. The drinks were also great with branded bottled beer and cider. However by day 5 the hotel decided that the branded drinks would now have to be paid for after having them free for the first 4 days. A pint of local beer was also being charged if you had it in a glass not a plastic cup.
The pool area was great, although towards the end of our holiday it got very busy and there was no where near enough sunbeds.
The kids splash park area was great although kids need to wear swim shoes as it’s very rough on the feet. The pools are also salt water do recommend goggles for children.
The entertainment was ok, not the greatest. This was no fault of the animation team, the girls were fantastic!
All in all we had a good holiday but all the changes towards the end took the shine off.
The location of the hotel was a bit away from main strip but only €4 in a taxi.

This is an honest review of Bakour splash hotel. I am still here with my family and so far we have had a fantastic holiday. Firstly and most importantly the rooms are a decent size for families. The bed is huge and there are two separate rooms. Our kids stay in the other room, there is one bed within the sofa and a pull out bed underneath which worked really well. The rooms are cleaned daily, the cleaners the floors, make the beds and change the toilet roll and towels. The cleanliness is good and the rooms are modern and obviously quite new. In my point of view the food is good and very varied and there are no ques at all to get your food. The breakfast is also good they have pancakes, english breakfast, omelettes and a wide range of pastries, fruits and cereals. The staff at this hotel work incredibly hard and are always polite. The reception staff were incredibly helpful at all times. I hired a car through the hotel with no hassle and the price was reasonable. The receptionist always take there time to help you, I am very impressed, for example they took there time to highlight on a map all the best places to visit in lanzarote. The hotel Is definitely more aimed at families with younger children. The location is good as the beach is a ten minute walk as well as the main strip of shops, bars and resturants. On the slightly less positive side the entertainment area is quite small as its a held in the foyer area. Also if your kids sleep early The mini disco starts at 8:30pm and entertainment goes on until around 10:30. Our room was close to the entertainment and you can hear it from you room a little bit. We requested to change the room and the reception were gonna change it immediately for us when a room became available, but in the end we decided to stay because we kept th kids up later than usual on holiday. The reception did say that in future you can contact the hotel and request a room further from the entertainment, which is good to know. The bar staff again were polite and hard working. Even when it is busy the que moves fast and the cocktails were quite good. They also do non alcoholic cocktails for the kids. Our two boys also had lots of fun in the swimming pools, there are plenty of different slides and water features to keep them entertained. There is also a kids club open throughout the day which we did'nt use but I am sure would be good for parents needing some space for themselves. Overall Bakour splash would be a good choice for a family holiday and we have made plenty of great memory's together, thank you very much !

Like many others we were apprehensive to book following the spate of bad reviews but do not be deterred we’re having a wonderful time.

4 star probably not, could it be 4 star absolutely.

Like many previous reviews there are things that could be improved, and I completely agree with that. But I really don’t think this hotel deserves some of the negative reviews it’s had. Neither me or my partner are snobs not even close and we are more than happy with our room, service, food and the amenities. We have a four year old who has played lovely on all the slides and pools and the splash park.

The air con in the rooms is wonderful and two TVs a big comfy bed and modern bathroom, which will flood if you shower for a while, avoid that by turning off the shower for a minute and letting it drain, I mean come on it’s not rocket science. I’d say the reason for me it’s not quite 4 star is the finesse of some of the work round the complex. But again for me that’s not an issue it’s just nitpicking.

The food is great, a massive selection every morning day and night and always plenty of room, plenty of food and plenty of desserts.

Close to two big supermarkets, 10 minute walk into town, 5 minute taxi ride to the zoo and waterpark.

We’re 3 days in to a 7 day stay and felt the need to write a review because it deserves more than some of the reviews it’s had.

Anyone on the fence about booking, given you aren’t a snob then this is your sign to book it.

Literally the only good things about this place are the nice bathroom sinks, the big fans in the bedroom and the fresh bread on the buffet.

From the off we got off to a bad start as they didn't have a suitable sized room so we ended up with a double bed and a sofa for a family of 4. On the 2nd day I reminded the receptionist about his promise to move us and he was completely oblivious to the situation. We also lost hot water to the room to be told there was nothing they could do as they don't have the skill or people.

The WiFi password they give out at reception doesn't work for any of the available networks, and when I raised this was given some drivel without resolution.

The pools are all chipping away and that mixed with the loose volcanic stones all around can lead to some painful steps. I also didn't realise how terrible salt water pools would be until I was cleaning my eyes every 5 minutes. The pools are also riddled with umbrella bases where they are trying to stop people from stepping on damaged parts of the pool. The plastic filters at the side are flimsy and uneven.

The food is a mix of average and atrocious, with the scrambled egg resembling custard being the absolute lowlight. The fresh bread is the only thing I would like to eat again from there.

There is a constant smell of poo around some areas and I don't know how a place can seem so rundown and dilapidated yet new and unfinished all at the same time.

I read a few mixed reviews before coming and thought it looked nice, it's just new and having teething problems, I'm sure it's better now. I explore you, avoid it at all costs.

This is the third time I have stayed at Bakour Splash and about time I wrote a review. This is a wonderful place to take a break in the sunshine, not only is it close to the local town and shops, beaches, bus stops and harbour, but the amenities are second to none. Rooms are cleaned daily and the cleaners always greeted me with a "Hola" or a "Buenos días". The food choices are vast so always something for everyone's taste, and very good quality food it is too. The staff are always happy to help, I would like to mention and give thanks to Marianne for arranging for me to stay in the room I stayed in last time I stayed here, also thanks to front desk staff members Natalie and Mauro for their kind help with any inquiries I had. Another thank you to Esmeralda from the bar who always gave sterling service with a smile as did all the other bar staff members. I found the pool was a lovely place to cool off and have a bit of a swim. It is aimed at families with evening entertainment, but even as a solo traveller I found it a very welcoming place and would highly recommend it to anyone. I will certainly be returning here as I thoroughly enjoy my stays, and the prices are very reasonable compared to other all inclusive venues on the island. Thank you to all Bakour staff and see you again soon.
Regards or should I say, Saludos.

Very good resort in terms of location, was walking distance to the beach, shopping centre, the laundrette and lidl was next to the resort!
Room, the first night I saw a massive cockroach in the bathroom and some baby ones which was not nice at all!
There were ants on one part of the room the maintenance team came and Siliconed the side they were coming in from which sorted the issue no further ants were seen.
The sofa bed mattress was not very comfortable! The pillows were long and not fluffy enough! Plus points there were two tvs which you can connect Netflix YouTube and prime which the kids were very happy with when they came back to the room to take a breather and relax.
Splash pools, the main splash pool was closed due to maintenance work which was really annoying as that was one of the reasons we booked this place.
The pirate ship was a bit hazardous, both my children injured them selves on the stairs as it was slippery!
The staff were very friendly across all bars restaurants and entertainment and very hard working especially Estaban he was at the food shack in the splash pool area and he was full of life and so good to everyone and the kids loved him too!
Food, we didn't think there was a good variety of food, it was pretty much the same type of food! Being vegetarian we really struggled. They couldn't get the basic pizzas or chips right. Pizzas tasted like cardboard with tons of cheese and chips were very dry and just didn't taste fresh.
The entertainment was really good the kids really enjoyed it every night and so did we!
Overall we had a really good holiday and didn't let the above spoil it for us as we met some lovely people there and kids had the best time and we were very lucky to have beautiful weather!

Stay from June 10 to June 20, 2024 as a couple with a child aged 2 and a half booked via Promovacances. Please note: 1 hour difference with France. The rooms have been renovated with a living room area in addition to a bedroom. The staff is very helpful and smiling. Weather is pleasant with regular wind
Positive :
Our child being 2 1/2 years old, a baby bed was installed and prepared for our arrival
Numerous slides and supervised swimming pool
Large and spacious room
Presence of fridge, hair dryer and soap/shampoo, air conditioning
Fairly wide and varied catering and drink offering
Presence of a pharmacy, laundry and bus attached to the hotel
Taxi to the beach for 4€ on average
Location very close to a shopping center and a beach (around 15 minutes on foot)
On the beach, there are paid deckchairs and water activities such as jet skiing and pedal boats (15€/h)
Negative point :
Water in the swimming pool very cold or even freezing, resulting in 2 swimming pools practically empty of people
Many broken umbrellas
Absence of sweet snack for afternoon tea
Lack of outdoor dining space
Absence of dairy at lunchtime and in the evening
The restaurant should open 1 hour earlier in the morning and at lunchtime, especially since it is a hotel for children under 12 years old (opening morning 8 a.m. / noon 1 p.m. / evening 6:30 p.m.)
Animation to be reviewed because there is a lack of outdoor space to do so
No games for children outside the swimming pools
Travel time by bus from the airport to the hotel is 1 hour 15 minutes compared to 10 minutes by taxi for around €18

We visited Bakour splash as a couple at a fairly quiet time of year in early December. Check in was friendly and welcoming. We were given a poolside room with a terrace. First impression of the room was high quality fixtures and fittings done tastefully. Very spacious rooms with a comfortable bed. ( could have done with an extra pillow but only personal preference) excellent shower room with separate toilet and sink area. Spotlessly clean. Bar area was our first stop as we had a long journey and it wasn’t quite dinner time. We were able to choose from a good variety around the pool bar with chicken drumsticks and some wedges which were a nice snack.
Cocktails were lovely around the pool which included a very potent Aperol cocktail with Cava. All made from fresh rather than premixed cocktails that you often see at AI hotels. We stayed for a week and enjoyed many different meals. My partner’s favourite was the Chinese themed night which included beef chow mein, sushi, bao buns and lots of other dishes. Lots of lovely salad options , freshly cooked steak , pork , fish and chicken. Stonebaked pizzas every night. Excellent dessert selection including fresh fruit. Breakfast included the usual selection of fresh omelettes , lovely fresh fruit, eggs and yoghurts and fruits. Entertainments team work hard and the young children there looked to be having fun. We stayed for the ABBA tribute and found it to be good fun. Location is excellent with walks easily to both the old town and main strip. Staff incredibly friendly and hotel exceptionally clean. Highly recommended!

100% recommend this hotel for young families. Brilliant
It’s modern, fresh, easily accessible from the airport (10mins - get a taxi €20, save £££ on travel agent transfers).
No need to bring toiletries as they are provided in the room and there are shops minutes from the hotel ALL THE WAY to the beach which is a 10min walk away. Again save £££ & packing weight!
Well worth a visit, a truely lovely place to be.
We stayed away from the bar & entertainment so it was quiet during the day and peaceful at night.
Foods good, plenty of beige stuff for fussy eaters but loads of variety for the rest.
Breakfast is especially yummy!!!
My only complaint is the out dated and quite frankly uncalled for concept of reserving sun beds with towels.
That really grinds my gears and obvs in no means a reflection of the hotel!
Get thi Sen booked in, the photos on the website don’t do it justice IT’s GORGEOUS!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remove towels that have been laid out before the swimming pools are open. Before the chains are open.

People are clearly sneaking under the chains to lay out towels and these are left. This results in people breaking the rules getting secure spots and those who follow rules sometimes struggle to sit together.

It really lets down the holiday.
