In short: The Vencia is an absolute delight, expertly balancing chic yet simple design, efficient yet discreet service, and a location that is convenient yet feels secluded.
Measured in the key categories*, it scores a very impressive 4.8 average.

The long story: We stayed twice at the Vencia, either side of a sailing charter, and the hotel provided a delightful oasis to recover from our various travels. It is within easy striking distance from the airport and the marina, and the Old Town is a 10-15 minute (if you want to go toe-to-toe with the traffic) or a much less stressful 5-minute taxi.
Like most small Greek island hotels, it's a slight hotchpotch of rooms, stairways and corridors, but everything works and means that you genuinely feel like you are in a small, charming hotel. The pool area is expertly managed with subtle music and a welcoming bar; the view - especially at sunset - is classic Mykonos.
The staff must come in for special mention, with everyone from the front desk to housekeeping being friendly, professional, and attentive.

Our room: We had different rooms across our two stays, and the latter (127) is unsurpassed, with cosy interior lounging and two options on the generous balcony. Again, the view is fantastic. Thankfully, the soundproofing does exclude virtually all of the sometimes raucous Mykonos nightlife sounds, ensuring a restful sleep.

Dining: The breakfast is faultless, with a generously stocked buffet and a cooked option featuring local dishes. Everything is fresh and tasty.

The acid test (that is, would I return): Yes, definitely, without hesitation.

We have been coming to this hotel regularly since 2009 because it is just so, so great.

The rooms are charming and full of character. On this occasion we were provided a sea view room, and the scenery from our balcony was stunning.

Mykonos town is a mere ten minute walk. The higher location of the hotel allows for breathtaking views overlooking the Aegean Sea and beyond.

Breakfast is perfect, with a range of coffees available and a full continental buffet, as well as a small a-la-carte menu. The breakfast pancakes are a must.

The staff are what make this hotel so special. Christos in the restaurant is so kind and attentive, and the pool side staff will keep you topped up with gorgeous cocktails. Penelope on reception is a fountain of knowledge about the island and is so helpful. Nothing is ever to much trouble. The hotel will even pick you up on arrival and drop you off when leaving for a small fee.

We absolutely loved our stay, as always, and want to thank everyone at the Vencia for welcoming us, once again.

Stayed for four nights, had a pleasant stay. Real high points were the staff (so friendly and helpful), the location (10 min walk into Mykonos town, much closer than most other hotels in the area) and the pool area (stunning infinity pool and immaculately maintained sunbathing areas).

The hotel restaurant is another great plus point for the hotel and breakfast each morning was delicious and beautiful to eat enjoying the view! We also ate from the poolside lunch menu a few times and that was great also - as were the cocktails!

What let the hotel down was our room (126) which was much smaller than expected, with really poor aircon (far from ideal on the hottest week in Greek history!) and also “rustic” decor which bordered on outdated. Our balcony overlooked the carpark which again was a shame. That said, when housekeeping were cleaning both adjacent rooms to us we saw inside them and they were twice the size and looked great - and other guests we chatted to spoke highly of theirs - so I think we might have just been unlucky. Nonetheless, I’d actively request to avoid this room unless you are a solo traveller.

Dear Mynameisjadem, thank you so much for your wonderful words about our staff, our location and views, our pool area and our restaurant! Regarding your comments about the room 126 we would like to point out that this is a surrounding hotel view room at a lower rate than the rest of our room types. There is a detailed description of the room on our web site and other booking engines so that the guests know in advance the size of the room and it's view. There are also photos of the room showing the interior and exterior of the room. This room type is a good choice as a cheaper option offering all the facilities like the rest of our rooms. Not solo travelers book this room as it is spacious enough for double occupancy. We hope to welcome you again if you come back to Mykonos and have the chance to stay in another room type of your preference.

We were family of 4 (2 teenagers) booking a sea view suite with lounge converted to 2 single beds. This made sleeping arrangements tight but manageable. The large terrace was fantastic in the evenings, however there was no shade in the afternoon. This was a shame as other hotels we have stayed in had electric awnings which we were able to remotely operate to be able to use space during day. There was no kettle but there was a fridge. The buffet breakfasts were delicious, huge variety, even able to order complimentary hot food. The orange cake and baclava at the Vencia were especially popular! The hotel is a 15 min walk to centre / harbour. It's a steep down/up walk but the location of the Vencia (outside central Mykonos) means that it is cooler, it is quieter, the sunset views incredible and the infinity pool the star attraction. Unfortunately there is little shade down near the pool area also and those loungers with shade get taken quickly. We were all incredibly impressed with the service from porters, reception, servers to cleaning staff - outstanding! Mykonos has become very expensive. We would highly recommend this hotel although if you want to be in the centre, or near the beach parties, this may not be for you.

Dear 355pr, we would like to thank you for your wonderful comments about our hotel! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and that you really liked our location, our views, our breakfast, our infinity pool and even more our service provided and hospitality offered! Regarding your comment about the electric awnings we would like to point out that we do not use them for aesthetic reasons in order not to spoil the Cycladic architectural style. Moreover the majority of our guests prefer to enjoy the sun and natural Greek light throughout the day. Thank you for highly recommending us through your review! We hope to welcome you again!

Stayed at Vencia Boutique Hotel for 2 nights and can't fault it whatsoever, we had to pay for transfers 10 euros each way and was by thier own driver so was pleased they offered this, our room was a very good size and came with a nice balcony. On arrival it was our anniversary and they laid rose pettles and shaped the towels into swans and left a small bottle of wine which we thought was very nice, thank you!!
The pool area is amazing a great view of Mkyonos good sunbeds in which we always got one, pool warm and the bar staff were amazing friendly helpful in fact all staff were great at breakfast and dinner perfect service I didnt hesitate to leave a tip even though it was only 2 nights. The food was one of the best we had over the 2 weeks away a good selection at breakfast including hot food.
Being the first time in Mykonos we didnt know what sort of prices we would be paying for food and drinks but were surprised how reasonable most things were not the prices we imagined and having just come from Naoussa Paros thought it was slightly cheaper.

We stayed in the Vencia for 10 nights in June of this year
We had been recommended by some friends
The hotel did not disappoint us
All the staff without exception were lovely & could not do enough for you
We had a smaller bedroom that looked over the centre courtyard & moved to a larger room with a balcony that looked over the sea & back of the hotel. Both were spotlessly clean with new towels every day
The pool facilities are lovely & recommend you get there ea
The pool bar is great & serve the best strawberry daiquiris
The food from the breakfast buffet to the pool menu & dinner menu was just fabulous
The restaurant is inside or outside on a covered terrace or on the open verandah.
The hotel has a shuttle bus to take you down to the town or there is a shortcut to walk, very steep & I would recommend the shuttle bus back.
We have booked again to go this October

Our experience was simply fantastic. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we're treated with extreme courtesy and professionalism by the entire staff.
The rooms are decorated in a modern and elegant style that reflects the unique charm of Mykonos. The bed was extremely comfortable. The housekeeping service was impeccable, ensuring everything was always perfect.
The hotel offers a variety of services that made our stay even more enjoyable. The included breakfast was delicious, with a wide selection of fresh ant tasty options. The pool was an oasis of tranquility, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the island. Additionally, the pool offers a beautiful view of the city ant the sunset, making it an ideal spot to unwind.
The location is very good, with easy access to the main attractions of Mykonos.
What really stood out was the personalized service.
I highly recommend Vencia Boutique to anyone lookin for a luxury experience in Mykonos.

Vencia Boutique Hotel was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had! I would go back to Mykonos just to stay at this hotel again!! The staff, especially Aryhss, made us feel comfortable and welcome as soon as we arrived. There is a shuttle service that will pick you up from the ferry or airport, which makes getting to the hotel seamless. The staff also arranged taxis for us throughout the stay. The location is impossible to beat with a giant pool and amazing views just a 5 minute walk to town. They even provide video instructions on how to get to town.

The rooms are clean, spacious, and aesthetically pleasing. The hotel also arranged a session with a private personal trainer and drove me to and from the session. The bar is open 24 hours and the food at the restaurant is great. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel safe, welcome, and excited about our stay in Mykonos. We LOVE VENCIA!!!

This was the final stop in our Greece vacation for our family of five adults and, at least as far as accommodations, we saved the best for last. Because there were five of us, we splurged and booked the "villa" and we couldn't have been happier. First and foremost, the staff are all very friendly and helpful, and even after only a few days we felt like we had met some new friends, with a special shoutout to the pool bar staff, Saava (??? forgive my spelling) and Alex.

The breakfast has both a la carte and buffet options and everything was wonderful. The only other food we had there was poolside, but it was very good. Other guests we talked with raved about the hotel restaurant and I believe them.

The villa (3 bedroom) was like renting a two story apartment with great views and the rest of the grounds, especially the pool area is post card beautiful.

The location is just a few minute walk from the Mykonos tourist center, but save some energy for the uphill walk getting back to the property!

Can't recommend enough!

Lovely views across Mykonos town, and great views of sunset. A short 10 min walk downhill into town.

Room was also very nice, well fitted bathroom, large mini-fridge, and great view from the terrace. The air-con could have worked a little harder to kick in, but was fine after an hour or two.

Unfortunately we felt the customer service was a little hit and miss. Being Gold members through our booking agents, we usually receive late check out. After much confusion from the receptionist - who oddly didn’t understand the concept of a late check out, she told us to come back the following day and when they would know more about the guests due in the room, we popped back after breakfast the following day to have to repeat the same conversation with another receptionist who also seemed similarly, oddly confused. After a couple of phone calls we were told we could have the room for an additional hour, so 12pm instead of 11am, not necessarily a late check out but we welcomed the additional hour. Come check in day, and another conversation about check out timings with again a different receptionist. Small things that cause unnecessary frustration and should have been better communicated between staff.

Additionally, after accepting the €15 price tag for cocktails, and enjoying plenty of these throughout our stay, one day we’d headed to local shops to buy water and essentials, and headed back to the sun lounger finishing a can of Coke Zero, to coldly be told from the staff that we shouldn’t be bringing this to the pool. This felt unnecessary.

The hotel could be excellent, but we felt the customer service was a let down.

Dear Royston-and-Kerry, we would like to thank you for your time and interest in writing a review about our hotel! We are glad you liked the views, the location and your room. Regarding your negative comments about our customer service we are surprised to be honest as this is the strongest part of our hotel which is also highy praised by the majority of our guests. We would like to point out that the reason why the guests are not allowed to consume their own drinks around the poo area and our resaturant is because of tax limitations. For each product consumed in the dining and pool areas of the hotel there must be the relevant receipt issued. Otherwise there is a penalty for the hotel. Regarding your claim to have a guaranteed late check-out please kindly note that late check-out is subject to availability and always upon request. The day of your departure we were fully booked and the next guests staying in your room were supposed to come to the hotel before 15:00 pm when the check-in starts. For this reason we could not offer you a later check-out than 12:00 pm as we needed time to clean and prepare the room for the next guests. The one additional hour was the best possible we could offer you that day. This doesn't mean that we were indifferent to your request. On the contrary we tried to repsect you and at the same time the next guests and to find a fair solution for everybody. With kind regards

We went in May which is also considered shoulder season and most places in Mykonos Town were open. I suspect some of the beach clubs and party places may not be open, so kind of depends what you are into. I would definitely call the hotel. I feel like they were pretty honest.

Yes it does! If I remember correct it is €5 per person per way. I called them prior to my arrival to confirm everything. The service was really good. Driver had already arrived and was waiting for us.

Not aware of a launderette but didn't need one so wasn't looking for one. There is supermarket in Mykonos town which is walking distance where you can get most things.
