The staff at the hotel are amazing; from Olga who stopped to check on me outside as I was arriving, and she was leaving at the end of her shift, and also arranged a taxi ride for me to the port, and actually went outside in the rain to see if it had arrived, to Helena who checked me me, answered my questions, helped me with the room safe, told me about breakfast, and most importantly recommended I have dinner at the hotel, and made my dinner reservation. I was exhausted from a very long trip with delays, and headed to the cruise terminal the next morning (a sort distance away). The Corfu Mare Hotel was the serendipitous respite that soothed all my travel woes. If I am ever in Corfu again, I will definitely stay at the Corfu Mare Hotel for a day or two, or maybe just come to Corfu to spend a week here, as many of my fellow guests were doing. I know this because the other guests were also warm and friendly, making recommendations at dinner such as the soup is delicious, which it was, and don’t miss the orange pie, which was amazing! The only thing more delicious was the Bougatsa, and the kumquat spoon sweets on homemade bread served with the free breakfast buffet. Thank you for a delightful stay! …
We stayed here after a weeks cruise the hotel is a good 40 min walk from Corfu town with very few bars or restaurants close by. The staff are really exceptional but that doesn’t make up for the location. We had a junior suite overlooking adjoining houses and the room was more like student accommodation not a picture or any finishing touches to make it welcoming. I would not revisit this hotel
We boked this hotel due to the positive reviews and adults only setting. We've stayed at many adults only hotels before but found that we were bring the average age down by about 25 years. Our room was clean but very small - with only around a foot of space from the bed to the wall and one of the smallest bathrooms ever. Our Premier Inn room the previous night was better. Bed was very comfy though. The hotel is right under the flight path from the airport and whilst this doesn't bother us, it must be noted that it is noisy. As are the local dogs that bark most of the night. There are only a few restaurants in the local area, no bars where you can just grab a quick drink and this was something we really missed. Buses into town are infrequent and a taxi is 10 euro each way. We walked into town a couple of times - we're both fit, regular walkers with a fast pace and getting to Liston from the hotel on the coast road took 50 minutes. Not the place for us I'm afraid.…
We booked this hotel due to the positive reviews , our triple room cost £182 for one night the room was tiny no room to walk around without squeezing yourself past the bed ends. We arrived late due to a flight delay there was ' small bottles of water in the mini fridge which are not free ' also 3 tiny cartons of milk my husband had to ask the guy in reception for more milk as we wanted hit drinks thankfully we had our own tea bags the hotel tea bags are not English tea. We requested a take away breakfast as needed to leave at 5.15am to catch a ferry to paxos we provided with x 3 bottles of water, 4 bananas and 3 cheese sandwiches consoting of bread with no butter and a cheese slice ' Just to add when we paid the hotel reception guy charged us in sterling which added uneccessary bank charges we should have been charged in euros The accommodation is basic as was the breakfast certainly nor worth £182 pounds even if the flight hadn't been delayed the room is not worth the price We wouldn't book this hotel again also the guy on reception offered a taxi for us at around 5am the journey from the hotel to the port is 5 minutes the taxi driver charged us £15 Euro for a 5 minute journey making money off the back of tourists!…
This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We booked a superior double room, which was very spacious and well appointed with lots of storage space. It had a large balcony, with views of the sea, pool and gardens. The bathroom was also very large with lots of space for toiletries and little extras like body lotion and a nail file. However, we would have preferred a walk-in shower to a bath with shower over. Towels were changed daily. The air con worked very well. Breakfast was buffet style, with plenty of choice of both hot and cold food. We only ate in the restaurant once, but thought the food was excellent. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff, who were all very friendly and efficient. The only downside for us was that the hotel is a long way from Corfu Town. It’s about 40 minutes’ walk, which normally would have been OK for us, but it was too hot, so we ended up spending a lot on taxis. A taxi to town costs 10 Euros, and Reception will order one for you. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked very nice, with plenty of sunbeds and a pool bar. You can hire beach towels from Reception. There was entertainment by the pool twice while we were there, which was very good, and there’s a nice bar. We would definitely visit again.…
This is a great adults only hotel with a very personal feel . The room on the first floor was good with a small balcony which unfortunately didn’t have much of a view but was perfectly adequate. The bathroom was on the small size but the shower was a decent one , be warned the hairdryer is fiercely hot ! The food in the restaurant was always good especially the feta saganaki and the stuffed chicken , however service could be a little slow . Breakfast was a buffet and plentiful , try the spinach pie it’s amazing ! The pool area was lovely and never overcrowded with plenty of sun beds and space , it was very nice to have a dip in the afternoon . The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is due to its location , we are fairly fit but in 35 degree heat it is not an easy walk into Corfu town , if you do walk turn right out of the hotel and walk the charming but perilous back streets , there’s more shade and less traffic than if you walk past the port . Be warned it takes about 40 minutes . As others have said a shuttle is something the management should consider , I’m fairly sure it would be very popular and would soon pay for itself .…
Looks lovely until you realise your surrounded by houses who have dogs that bark all day and night. Also on the flight path from airport not a quiet hotel. Walking into town is 30 minutes and not easy very uneven under door in places but run down lots of derelict sites however town is nice lots of shops and bars need taxi back ten euros.went half board good not great.menu the same each night apart from one special Greek dish near was overcooked stuck to soup which was nice and pasta most nights staff overworked but very nice.rooms were good and cleaned every day
After a hectic week cruising the greek Islands the hotel was the perfect contrast of peace and tranquility. All the staff we met were courteous, helpful and cheerful at all times. The hotel cleanliness was first class. An excellent pool area with great bar service. Although we have now holidayed in Corfu six times, usually in appartments this hotel is where we would return to should we holiday on the island again. Thank you all. Regards Barry and Sue Lewis.
Just got back today after a week at this hotel. stayed in serenity suite room 303. Lovely room on top floor, Large balcony. 2 bathrooms. seperate lounge area, always kept lovely and clean. Hotel nice and peaceful. Breakfast very good. Ate evening meal once, also very good. Lovely lunches and had a couple of drinks outside of bar in the evenings. Very relaxing. Long walk into town, but very nice once we knew where we were going. Done the walk there and back 4 evenings, felt like kept fit doing this. Very friendly staff, lovely hotel. Would recommend. Just a long way from the town, but lovely walk.
Had a wonderful stay at Corfu Mare Boutique Hotel, the friendliest of greetings started the tone of our break, everyone was very welcoming, many guests we talked to have been visiting for years! Spotlessly clean, pleasant room, food was lovely and we have no complaints. Impossible to single anyone out for praise but we spent a while with food and beverage dept and they were amazing. The walk into town is a mile if you turn right up the hill then left through some typically Greek streets, it’s a little longer if you walk the coast road and unless you cross over to the sea side of the road then yes the pavement is a little uneven but across the road it’s fine! We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel but would suggest if you have mobility issues and don’t want to spend on taxis that you do thorough research.…
