Mark and Paul welcome you to our townhouse B&B in the centre of the medieval village of Eymet, in the Dordogne, France. All rooms with ensuite shower rooms, free wifi and free breakfast. A lounge with international TV and our pretty garden are available for guests to use. Breakfast at Maison Belmont is something we take very seriously! All our breads and pastries are baked daily at our local artisan boulangerie, supplemented with home baked treats such as Irish soda bread, sourdough, brownies, muffins, banana bread, Bircher Muesli and our signature breakfast frittata. Served in our conservatory, which overlooks our pretty garden, our breakfast is suitable for vegetarians. We can cater for special dietary requirements on request. Orange juice is freshly squeezed and coffee is proper espresso-based with a choice of caffè latte, flat white, americano, macchiato or a straight-up espresso. A selection of teas and infusions are also available. Add to this fabulous local fruit and creamy yoghurt. What more could you ask for? We were thrilled to receive a Best of the Best award from TripAdvisor for 2023.

Property's Favourite Review
We have enjoyed a wonderful stay at Maison Belmont Townhouse. The hosts are welcoming and informative and have created a homely french escape in beautiful Eymet. Continental Breakfast is first class and different every day with homemade delicious bread and preserves. Rooms are joyfully decorated with all mod cons and comfortable beds. There is even a pretty outdoor green space for relaxing with a book or where you can sample a glass of local vin! Highly recommended

Wow… where do we begin with this exceptional B & B, Maison Belmont. Let’s begin with the hosts, Mark, Paul & Toby the Labrador. Mark (as the village taxi driver) collected us at Bordeaux Airport for the 90 minute transfer to Eymet. Upon our arrival at the car there was a chilled bottle of water each for us both, to cool us down on a warm sunny day. We chatted all the way into Eymet with Mark keeping us up to date with what bars and restaurants we may like. We then landed at the sublime B & B, and we was pleasantly greeted by Paul and their lovely Labrador Toby, who even greeted us with his fluffy toy champagne bottle. So… what separates this B & B from any other… well just about everything. It has 3 rooms, all of which are decorated with lots of colours, the decor has a genuine retro vibe and feel, which we both fell in love with instantly. Every part of the B & B is cleaned to the highest standards, the rooms are very airy and ours even had a fan on the ceiling which kept us cool whilst we slept. All had refrigerators, kettle and coffee machine. They also have a fabulous guest lounge, which has a T.V. If your wanting to catch up on any programmes. They have magic hooks near to the guest lounge, which when you leave your creased garments on, they miraculously turn up perfectly steamed a couple of hours later. Their secret garden is pristine, and is immaculately pruned. Then… when you wake up of a morning your treated to a very beautiful created continental breakfast… but with Paul’s special twist. Every morning the breakfast differs, it’s presented beautifully… and every morning it begins with a mango and passion fruit ice cold shot. Look at my photos for more detail as there really isn’t enough space on here to do Paul’s breakfasts justice. Paul makes 90% of the breakfast himself to, and for the remaining 10% he sources locally. We were lucky to find this little gem whilst attending Kerri (my partner) dads wedding in a chateau a few miles up the road. Needless to say Mark ran us backwards and forwards along with most of the wedding guests who weren’t lucky enough to stay at Maison Belmont. All… and I mean every person who travelled in Marks taxi… they all agreed that he was such a genuinely kind and pleasant man. Look at my photos for yourself, my words really can’t do Maison Belmont the justice it deserves. The hosts (although not from a hospitality background) knock absolute spots of a lots of hotels I’ve ever stayed in. They thoroughly deserve to be in the top 1% of hotels & B & Bs based on Trip Advisor reviews for 2023 (In the world that is) and the top 11% in the whole of France. If your thinking of having a break in the South of France, look no further than Maison Belmont. You will not regret it… more importantly… book with them direct and save yourself 10% off your stay too. Thank you so much Mark, Paul & Toby for a memorable stay… we will be back. Ian & Kerri x

I cannot recommend Maison Belmont highly enough. We were so pleased we decided to stay with Mark, Paul and Toby for my special birthday and what a wonderful time we had. It is situated in an excellent location within a few minutes walking distance of local restaurants and the historic market square but yet far away not to be disturbed. The interior is unique, successfully combining modern pieces with the original features of the building and wonderfully bold wallpapers. The guest sitting room is a comfortable and a relaxing place to browse the local information provided. Paul and Mark have also spent a lot of time researching the area and each room has a detailed guide for sightseeing and eating.
Our peaceful and relaxing room named Jardin was large, light and airy, stylishly decorated and looked out over the garden to the rooftops of the old village. A ceiling fan and black-out shutters kept it cool. The king size bed was very comfortable and there were lots of nice touches such as a plentiful supply of coat hangers, a regular supply of filtered water and tea and coffee making facilities including a Nespresso machine and fresh milk. The shower room was spacious with fluffy towels, bathrobes and great toiletries. Breakfasts were a highlight, served in the conservatory overlooking the courtyard garden. Besides the fresh fruit, yogurt and breakfast pasties there was something different such as Paul’s homemade Irish soda bread, Bircher muesli or more savoury treats to try each day. My favourite was a stunning fruit bowl. Paul also makes the delicious jams and marmalade and the orange juice is freshly squeezed. You get up from breakfast wondering how you will possibly be able to eat any lunch!
Despite all the great facilities they provide, it is Paul and Mark themselves who are the best advert for their B&B. From the moment they greeted us until the moment we left, we felt as though there was nothing they could have done to make our stay with them any more special. They are very friendly and hospitable, have very high standards and are truly fabulous hosts who can’t do enough to make your stay memorable. We would highly recommend Maison Belmont and we will return.

Just back from a truly wonderful visit to Maison Belmont in the historic beautiful Bastide town of Eymet in the Dordogne
This stylish B&B has three rooms from which to choose, each with a different view. We stayed in ‘Jardin’ which overlooks the garden and has views of one of the historic half timbers mansions in the town. For a boutique B&B the room has some thoughtful touches like personal tea and coffee making facilities including a Nespresso machine in the room. There is also a separate salon for guests to relax in, with a library of books to browse and a TV (if you can drag yourself away from the beautiful surroundings outdoors). The overall décor throughout is of an exceptional standard and original.
We spent the first day in Eymet itself with its beautiful Bastide central square with medieval stone-arched arcades and a wide selection of restaurants, shops and its own castle. We took some lovely riverside and parkland walks. We later explored the nearby towns of Bergerac and Issigeac and the chateaux Duras and Bridoire. Maison Belmont also has its own private garden, with both shady and sunny seating where we enjoyed cool drinks
The hosts of the B&B are very friendly and hospitable. Breakfast is sumptuous, with home made breads and jams, fresh pastries, cereals, yoghurt and fruits. On different mornings during our stay we had homemade sourdough, soda bread and Bircher muesli. As well as tasting great, breakfast is very well presented.
Overall, Maison Belmont is a boutique B&B which retains with a welcoming home away from home feel in a picturesque Bastide town. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting the Dordogne.

Decided to stay with Mark,Paul and Toby for our anniversary and what a wonderful time we had. Our room (Jardin) was a delight, vibrant, large and airy, stylishly decorated and complimented with a lovely spacious double shower room. The best B&B room we’ve stayed in and super comfy.
We ate in the evening at Andine, a lovely restaurant booked and recommended by our hosts and only a couple of minutes walk from Maison Belmont in the centre of Eymet,
Breakfast was a big hit, tasty, nutritious and generous and topped off our wonderful stay,
A big big thanx guys you are fab hosts with a fab b&b, see you all again soon.

It was great to see the very high standards Paul and Mark set in their previous location maintained here in Eymet.
The location of Maison Belmont is very convenient.
Paul and Mark are excellent hosts who run a really high quality venue. The ambience is very pleasant and peaceful with a lovely garden. The property is maintained to the highest standards.
The bedroom was tastefully decorated, it was clean. the bed was very comfortable and there were lots of nice touches such as a plentiful supply of coat hangers , a regular supply of filtered water, a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities (with fresh milk!).
The breakfasts are filling and tasty including homemade jams and marmalade.
I wholeheartedly recommend this venue.

Thank you Mark and Paul for the most wonderful 5 night stay. We were in Eymet for a friend’s wedding, at the nearby Chateau Lacanaud, and we had a wonderful 6 days exploring the local area too. From Mark picking us up from the airport to our beautiful room and delicious breakfast everyday, we didn’t want to go home. Our fave b&b we have ever stayed in with the most friendly and helpful hosts (including the gorgeous Toby, the dog).
Our bedroom was so chic and roomy and we were always able to stay cool in spite of the 34 degree heat (I am 6 months pregnant so this was lovely), and the bed was so comfy. The B&B is quiet but Paul and Mark were always on hand to help us book restaurants or give local recommendations, and we enjoyed chatting with the other guests at breakfast each morning. Paul outdid himself each day with breakfast and we looked forward to the daily spread! Particularly loved the homemade sourdough and Irish soda bread. The garden is like a little oasis, very tranquil with a lovely little splash pool to cool off in.
Massive bonus is Mark being a licensed taxi driver, not only did we arrange with him before to get transport to our wedding (over 2 days), and both our airport transfers, but he also took us to a local vineyard for a wine tour (and also provided transport for our friends staying in the area). His rates were extremely reasonable and taxis are extremely hard to come by in the area so this made life very easy for us - thank you, Mark!
We would love to come back one day, and just a massive thank you again for making our last trip as a 2 so enjoyable. Amber and Justin xx

We had the true ‘Maison Belmont Eymet’ experience so I’d like to take you through each part individually:
To start with the accommodation- The house has beautifully traditional French features with the boldest of colour and richness. The vibe is cosy, relaxing and paired with the personal touches from Paul and Mark it’s just an all round feel good place to stay. These included a very informative guide brochure of things to do, filtered water and a bottle of milk in the fridge waiting for you, an array of Teas and coffee (with coffee machine), lavish hand soap, shampoo and body wash to set you up for the day and a peaceful garden to relax with a glass of wine in between plans.
I fell in love with the breakfast from the pictures and despite preparing myself that pictures may not always live up to expectations we were blown away! It tastes even better than the pictures, the fruit is as fresh as it can be, Paul’s banana bread is truly perfect and his homemade jam on a warm and crispy croissant was a must, even if you are full up to the top. But the very best has to be Paul’s overnight oats, I’m not going to spoil the surprise, book with them and see for yourself!
Mark is Eymet’s 5* chauffeur. He collected us from Bordeaux airport and safely returned us to Bordeaux city centre to explore prior to us reluctantly getting our flight home. He also took us to and from the winery we had planned and provided insight into the area as we drove! Ensure you get transport booked in with him in preparation for your stay as he gets booked up quickly and unlikely to be able to drive somewhere last minute.
I took all their advice and knowledge of the area and I’m so glad we did because it was all wonderful. We ate at ‘Walnut’ restaurant, opposite the house and it was a fantastic meal and very reasonably priced.
We explored the 800 year old surroundings in Eymet, where you will find a relaxed, peaceful and friendly atmosphere. With an array of bars, restaurants and market like shops in the main square.
Saving the best until last, the hosts themselves Mark and Paul (and Toby of course). You are both wonderful and caring people. Your passion for ensuring people enjoy their time away is admirable. You compliment one another with your talents for hospitality and I cannot thank you enough for helping me make it a 40th birthday to remember for Gemma.
We really hope to see you again in the future.

If you’re reading this because you’re thinking of staying here, please do not hesitate. We cannot recommend Maison Belmont highly enough. It is situated in an excellent location within a few minutes walking distance of local restaurants and the historic market square of Eymet. The modern interior combines with the original features of the building and the guest sitting room is a comfortable and a relaxing place to browse the local information provided.
Our room was large, light and airy, stylishly decorated and an aircon unit, ceiling fan and black-out shutters kept it cool. The king size bed was very comfortable and there were lots of nice touches such as a plentiful supply of coat hangers, a regular supply of filtered water and tea and coffee making facilities including a Nespresso machine and fresh milk. The fridge in the room also contained a complimentary supply of soft drinks. The shower room was spacious with fluffy towels, bathrobes and great toiletries. Paul provides really good breakfasts which are served in the conservatory overlooking the garden. There is something different to try each day besides the fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, cold meats, cheese and breakfast pastries such as Paul’s homemade Irish soda bread or more savoury treats. My favourite was a stunning fruit bowl. You never get up from breakfast hungry.
Paul, Mark and Toby the dog are wonderful hosts, very friendly and hospitable with very high standards who can’t do enough to help make your stay memorable. We would highly recommend Maison Belmont. This was not our first visit and from the moment they greeted us until the moment we left, we felt as though there was nothing they could have done to make our stay with them any more special.

Mark and Paul are friendly and welcoming hosts in their homely B&B located near the centre of this picturesque village.
Our comfortable room was tastefully and colourfully decorated in a pleasing "retro" style with a usefully sized fridge and an essential ceiling fan.
The guys provided a wealth of local knowledge and practical information about relocating to France.
