The hotel is located in a typical Asturian house exquisitely restored respecting their original forms. It is a practical and comfortable building located at the entrance of Cangas de Onis, the first capital of Asturias, presiding over the historic city by the Roman bridge over the River Sella. “This establishment uses the Ecoastur ozone-based ecological and environmental cleaning and disinfection system, respecting health and the environment, helping to control the discharge of polluting substances and plastics. I also inform you that we are implementing the national tourism seal of HOSTELERIA SEGURA. ”

We stayed at the imperium as part of a pre season motorcycle tour for 3 friends in Asturias. We have been many times and Cangas is still local Spain but a popular tourist destination too.
This hotel overlooks the Roman Bridge and is literally on the doorstep to walk into cangas town or have a drink riverside within a minutes walk.
The staff are really helpful and speak perfect English. Great breakfast plenty of hot water, comfortable bedrooms and linen.
Bikes welcome, off road and a small amount of underground parking available ( this might get restricted in high season I think)

Bathrooms are small. There is a nearby attractions in walking distance. Staffs are nice. Hotel is ok for only Coue of nights. We did not get luxurious feeling but is a good place to sleep. Not good cleaning of rooms.

Central Location right next to the roman bridge. large clean rooms with air conditioning .also has underground parking. Which was ideal for the motorcycle. Breakfast was enough and enjoyable not a massive choice but enough to get you through the day. I was the only thing I would say is it wasn't that cheap.

We stayed here from 15/06/14-21/06/14, three blokes on motor bikes. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff are friendly. The breakfast is worth having although it is the normal continental style, help yourself to ham, cheese, jams, yogurts, cakes, croissants, toast, bread, cornflakes, coco pops & fruit and juices. The price is very reasonable. The hotel has secure parking which we used and a lift goes to the garage. The rooms are fairly large with a whirlpool bath!! & all the usual facilities. The location is ideal just on the edge of town which is in walking distance about 2 minutes!! The Roman bridge is worth a walk over and features on the flag of Asturias. The Air conditioning unfortunately does not work properly but I doubt it would be a major issue we survived by opening a window. Would I stay there again, yes definitely, might even be next year. It is an ideal location for touring the Picos mountains. There is a bar called Ca'Melan' on Av Contranquil, which I would recommend very highly for the food and service, try the special sandwich.

We stayed as three motor bikers for 5 nights to explore the surrounding Picos mountains.
The secure parking under the hotel is excellent. The rooms are very well appointed. Theres even a shaving kit and toothbrush if you need it! Theres a free to use safe and a hair drier. The whole place is nicely decorated and the staff will do anything for you.
The only niggle was the erratic hot water. The shower would start boiling hot and very quickly turn luke warm but it wasn't a major headache. Never tried it but I would imagine to run enough water for the spa bath to work and it would be stone cold.
The location is probably the best in town and there are numerous restaurants and bars to walk to.
I would not hesitate to stay again.

Very central hotel for the town just over the bridge. Friendly girls on reception. Small parking area for 4 cars. Rooms were clean and quite large. We had a small balcony and a fridge do could have a drink on our balcony before going out.

Booked 1 night last minute during our travels. Receptionist very friendly and helpful, and managed to point out carparking space we could use. Room big and airy, nice decor, front room view of Roman Bridge. Location dead central in town. Recommended.

This small hotel might lack masses of charm but it is very clean, functional and does the job at an excellent price. Very welcoming reception staff. Excellent restaurants nearby within walking distance. Parking in the basement will cost an extra 6 euros, but that seems to be standard practice in Spain. A good ‘one night stopover’ hotel. Excellent location right next to the Roman Bridge.

PROS
Clean, comfortable and spacious room with good facilities (A/C, mini-bar, etc.).

A nice private balcony with seating area.

Great location, couldn't be closer to the bridge!

CONS
Much like the rest of Cangas de Onis, the parking was an absolute nightmare. 4 spaces for an entire hotel isn't enough, and the roundabout that it's situated on is constantly full of cars stopping with their hazard lights on, trying to scope out a space. There's a field to the left of the hotel that offers parking, but is only accessible 11am-11pm. For our early-morning flight we had to park at the bus station across town.

I was looking forward to trying the jets in the bathtub until I turned them on and a large ring of tangled black hair shot out from one and floated around the water. I appreciate that these things are difficult to clean but it put me off the rest of my 'relaxing' bath!

We were a group of cyclists touring the north coast of Spain.
The hotel staff were very helpful with storing our bikes overnight and arranging a taxi to move our luggage to our next stop.
The rooms were comfortable with good showers.
The hotel is at the "entrance" to the town just by the "Roman" bridge.
There was fresh orange juice for breakfast.
