Our stay at Cangas de Onis Parador was excellent. Our room was very clean and was a very peaceful setting. We loved the attention in the bar area, felt very relaxed. Had a wonderful meal at the restaurant. Excellent quality overall

Great location and a useful break on the drive to Cambados. Surprised by the use of tiny dining room off the bar instead of main restaurant but the food was nevertheless excellent. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Very cosy place with very good location right next to Picos de Europa and its beauty! The hotel itself is a historic building where you can see ruins centuries old, and is located between the mountains with gives you very good views!

We love staying at Parador Cangas de Onis - we have been many times and it is probably our favourite. The location is stunning next to the river and against the backdrop of the Picos mountains, and as you approach the monastery looks so inviting. In Autumn it is especially atmospheric with the autumn light and mists. There is so...

Great place as a hub for visiting Covadonga and the sacred cave and visiting the beautiful Picos de Europa. Rooms were very nice. The dinner on the glassed in porch was very nice. The food was good. The facility was very modern and up to date. I stayed in the "annex" so the rooms were very new. I did not...

We had a magnificent room on the first floor of the cloister with wood-beamed ceilings and a magnificent bathroom. The room itself was large and had a most comfortable bed and tiled floor. There was a separate area with desk, television and comfortable armchairs. The restaurant was unusually good - perhaps the best we have found in any Parador. Dishes...

We stayed two nights here on the Parador half board rate. Our room, no. 110, was in the monastery itself and was a large, tastefully furnished room with an excellent bathroom overlooking the river. The receptionists were very welcoming and we received excellent service both in the bar and in the restaurant. Both the two dinners and breakfasts that we...

We enjoyed the drive to this Parador through the mountains, we stopped for lunch at a ski lift! The Parador is very impressive, another old monastery skilfully restored. We particularly liked the library and the dining room which was decorated with lace. The meal was fine and served well. The room was comfortable but looked out onto quite a busy...

The experience at this hotel was truly outstanding. The hotel ambiance is magical. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful in all matters. The restaurant is pricy but well worth it. The menu was based on ancient monk recipes and was delicious. The service was truly outstanding. Although the room that I stayed was located on the monastery itself, it...
