We had six really pleasant nights at this hotel, and would certainly recommend it either as a base for exploring Halkidiki, or just as somewhere to flop and drop in comfort. We had one of the suites, and it was a very good option for a slightly longer stay - the separate room with sofas was very welcome. Our balcony overlooked the sea and was a great place to watch the sun set (and rise.). Soundproofing was good and there was no noise - we slept really well. Beds are big and comfortable. The walk down to the beach is quite steep and slippery so if you are at all concerned about that, it would probably be better to walk along to the far end of the village and go down the paved steps. The sea is fantastic for swimming, crystal clear, and a perfect temperature (by September.). There are tavernas down there, and of course many decent restaurants close to the hotel. Housekeeping do a great job and we really appreciated their hard work. The reception and bar/restaurant staff are lovely - so helpful and upbeat. Special thanks to the tall guy serving breakfast, who took the care to remember my husband's chocolate allergy! Details like that make such a difference, and are really appreciated. Wifi was consistently good. The only thing we could perhaps have used would be some sort of information sheet on arrival giving a few details about location of breakfast room, bar & room service hours, snack bar hours, etc. I know with COVID around it wouldn't be appropriate to leave a permanent folder in the guest rooms as they could spread bacteria, but just a single-sheet printed guide on arrival, that would not be reused, would be helpful. Wishing all staff a peaceful 'off season', and a spectacularly successful 2021 to make up for the rotten effects of COVID. You all deserve it.…
Stayed for a week late September. Extremely helpful and friendly staff team - nothing seemed too much for them to do. Wonderful views and a short stroll into the village itself. We had the half board option - lots of choices on the menu but beware very large portions. Our room was modern, clean and (we had a suite) and spacious. Nice touch was the immaculate empty fridge to put your own selection of drinks in to keep cool. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Spent a week at Rigas in September looking for a break from the struggles at home with the pandemic. I had the advantage of being a previous visitor but couldn't have picked a better option. Had the most relaxing week, everything you would need catered for with the best staff around
Modern and clean hotel, stunning views of the beach down below. Staff so attentive and warm. Rooms newly renovated (bathroom a little small and dark) I would definitely come here again and have recommended to family
We stayed here for a week and booked directly with the hotel. We stayed August 2020 so during covid and the hotel was pretty quiet - mainly Greek locals, only a few British tourists. The hotel is modern and clean, well styled / decorated and the views are incredible! The views are absolutely the selling point! Plus the location - a couple of minutes and you’re right in Afytos village with plenty of tavernas, bars and shops. The pool is a reasonable size and not too cold! The majority of the pool area is shaded by about 5pm but there was a few sun beds that remained in the sun. You can walk down to the beach in about 10 mins - very steep and not easy to walk on as it’s a bit of a rocky track, but do-able and well worth it. You need sea shoes for the sea and the waters are so clear and warm! Breakfast was ok - due to covid the staff have to serve the buffet instead of self service. The pool bar has really good food options - more than just the usual pizza / salad / sandwich. The Tuna fish concept restaurant was closed but I think they were serving that food in the hotel restaurant. Really nice cocktails! A few mosquitos but no wasps. Rooms cleaned most days - on check in they said it would be every 3 days but she came the majority of days. Comfy beds. Decent shower. The hotel will arrange airport private transfers for €80 each way and it’s a 1 hour drive. Eat7 restaurant and wine bar next door was our favourite place to eat too. Views, location, cleanliness all 5 star! Stella was super friendly and helpful too - she was great. We would definitely return!…
