This was a last minute BA holidays trip for 5 nights (Gold Tier Points Run). Quite a journey from Thessaloniki airport in cab (100 euros) so book one ahead. Upgraded to a sea view and well worth it for the sunrises. Rooms are fine and well appointed with comfy beds. Bathroom is functional but shower cubicle a little tight to manoeuvre around. Breakfast was freshly presented and had enough choice for all. Its a small hotel so only one toaster and tea/coffee machine, be patient! Food in the evening served in Tuna Restaurant and nice setting overlooking the sea. Plenty of sunbeds but you have to keep moving top follow the path of the sun in the West! One staff member stood out for her enthusiasm, charm and humour was Stella. She was there for breakfast during the day and serving dinner. All in all an excellent boutique hotel allowing peace and calm to relax.

Fab hotel with panoramic sea views. The room was spacious and very clean and had everything we needed. The maids came every day and the room was always spotless. All staff were friendly and cheerful and nothing was ever too much trouble. Will be coming here again for sure. Afytos is one of the prettiest places I’ve been to by far

This was my second visit to Rigas boutique hotel, I was there in June with girlfriends and loved it so much, I wanted to visit again with my husband. It is a beautiful, stylish hotel with stunning sea views. The staff are so welcoming and greet everyone with a smile. Everyone works hard to create an extra special place and I cannot wait to return next year.

The Rigas hotel Afytos is a cliff top boutique hotel just a short walk to the town centre. The hotel itself comprises a couple of accommodation blocks that hug the cliff line, a pool deck, spa, restaurant and bar, all with modern styling and good free WiFi throughout. Hotel staff are really helpful and friendly but we did have a few concerns with the set-up. The rooms are stylish, but noisy. You can literally hear every conversation and door close along the corridor when laying in bed which did result in being woken up before I planned. The bar and restaurant has an amazing view and offers breakfast and dinner for those included, or paid for brunch, snacks and meals. When purchasing we found the fare similar to pretty much every restaurant in Afytos, but overpriced by 1/3. (Caesar salad €14, everywhere else in town €9, chicken club sandwich €14 Vs €9, bottle of wine €28 Vs €18, glass of wine €7 Vs €4). This was a shame as the elevated pricing put us off using this more. I note the hotel has replied to other reviews that have commented on pricing by being comparable to Thessaloniki. This is a city over an hour away so a little misleading. The pool deck is a really good concept, but it's a bit shabby with ripped beds & umbrellas, the latter is not too much of a problem as the deck is mostly in shade come the afternoon. If you want a refreshing dip in the pool, they'll certainly take your breath away as the pools are unheated (very, very, very cold). Being close to the the town is a big plus point, stepping out for lunch or a drink is a two minute walk. We stayed a week, but given the points above I feel the hotel would be more suited to a mini break. Overall, location, friendliness and style - top notch. Noise and bar/restaurant pricing - troublesome.

Greetings from Rigas Boutique Hotel, and thank you for taking the time to share your detailed review of your stay. We are delighted to learn that you appreciated our staff and our prime location. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we take your points of concern seriously to ensure continuous improvements in our services and facilities. Regarding the faulty sunbed covers, we have taken note of this issue and will promptly address it by replacing the cover to maintain our guests' comfort and satisfaction. In regards to the pool, we appreciate your understanding. The recent weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius made pool heating rather unnecessary at the time. We understand that pricing is a subjective matter and varies from person to person. We respect your perspective on this, and we are pleased to hear that you found alternative options nearby that better matched your pricing expectations. Thank you once again for choosing Rigas Boutique Hotel for your stay in Halkidiki. We wish a great winter season ahead to you and your loved ones!

We enjoyed an amazing two week holiday at Rigas in August with the family (3 sea view rooms - family consisting of grandparents + 2 teenagers). Our rooms were all together & had beautiful views of the pool (great for watching the amazing sunrise if you wake up early). They were spotlessly clean (& cleaned daily), had tea & coffee makings facilities, mini fridge, tv, ceiling fan, very efficient air conditioning, blackout curtains, mosquito net on the patio door and balcony with outdoor furniture. We opted for Bed and Breakfast and this was the right choice for us as it gave us the freedom to explore Afytos at night to eat. Breakfast is wonderful both in choice and quality, and the views from the breakfast room are stunning, The choice & quality of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel are great, and there is something for everyone. We also ate at the Hotel Restaurant (Tuna Concept) twice and have to say the food was excellent (perhaps a little more expensive than in the village but worth it). We always returned to the hotel bar for cocktails/drinks after our evening out and my son used to have the chocolate soufflé which he highly recommends! I have to say that the hotel staff are the very best. Absolutely everyone is helpful, happy and they smile all the time - they appear to really enjoy their work and want to make everyone’s holiday special. They work incredibly hard over long hours but still have time to chat. One night during our stay they had a large greek wedding reception at the hotel and still managed to look after us! The sandy beach is a short walk away and can be reached in three ways - short, steep ‘track’ just below the hotel; steps just along the front or via the road from the centre of Afytos. Teenagers opted for the track everyday and grandparents (fit 70 year olds) went for the steps! You will need beach shoes to swim in the sea as there are rocks in the shallows and sea urchins. We did spend one day by the pool (we just prefer the beach) when my mum and daughter has a spa treatment (they said this was pure bliss!) and this was a relaxing, chilled day and the views from the sun loungers are beautiful. They were plenty of loungers, umbrellas and bean-bags and we didn’t need to rush to reserve our beds! As this was our first time in Halkidiki we did hire a car for a few days. We explored a little more of the Kassandra Peninsula (Pefkohori, Kriopigi & Possidi) but all agreed that Afytos was the perfect place to stay as it has the very best of everything - beautiful beach, stunning views, fabulous sunrises, pretty village, great food and the most amazing Rigas Boutique Hotel!

Stayed for 10days end of Aug ,had a double room in the annexe with 'garden view, not really a garden just a wall with greenery but it was pleasant to sit outside as it was quite private and quiet, the staff were all very friendly and professional, the food in the restaurant was excellent, had a few lunches and dinners and the quality and service was very good. The room staff did a very good job every day. The pool area was quite busy the sunbeds were not comfortable as they were well used and also quite grubby, the area for sunbathing at the top was quite scruffy looking compared to other areas nearer the pool. The steps down to the annexe rooms would benefit from a handrail as the door opens inward and the stairs are quite steep. Overall we had a good stay but wouldn't stay in the annexe rooms due to the stair situation.

A group of us booked to stay here for a week. Our first visit to Afitos. This hotel is perfectly located a stones throw from the bustling village. Perched up high, the views from the hotel are stunning! The hotel itself is simple and very stylish. The staff are all incredibly friendly, efficient and consistent. We couldn’t fault the service we got. The breakfast was fabulous - so much choice of hot and cold - you will not be disappointed. Our room was again simple but comfortable. The view from the balcony is what makes it. Also, a big thank you to the cleaning team. They left the room immaculate everyday - so lovely to come back to. All in all a lovely stay and thank you to all the staff who made it so special 😊

It was our first visit to the Rigas hotel in Afytos and we were both very pleased from the start. From arrival to our departure the staff were all fantastic and very accommodating. In particular Evanthia, Gianni, Stella, Kostas, Nikos and Tilu to name just a few. They all went above & beyond and nothing was ever any trouble for them. They were always happy to help. We also had a few meals in the hotel restaurant (Tuna) on a number of occasions where the food and presentation was amazing so a big shout out to the chefs for their work in the background. The location of the hotel is ideally situated with a short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. We will be visitng again in the future.

Firstly, I need to mention the beautiful village of Afytos where this lovely hotel is situated. A traditional compact Greek village, plenty of great restaurants, a lovely vibe, very cosmopolitan and a popular spot with Greeks themselves. It's not a manufactured resort, it's a village that tourists and visitors alike can be welcomed to and instantly feel at ease. The hotel itself is perched up on a cliff from the coast, there is a fairly simple walk to the beach via well constructed steps, it takes about 10 minutes. The views across the gulf to the "middle finger" of halkidiki - Sithonia are glorious, especially on a sunny day. Most rooms have this view, we were in the annexe, room 212 which had a partial sea view. I'd read some disparaging reviews of the annexe which made me a bit unsure of what to expect prior to travelling, but my own view is that it had everything I needed, was immaculately cleaned daily (a special mention must go to the young lady who tended to our room) and was equipped more than adequately. The room had as standard, private balcony - no low walls between terraces, clothes rack for wet items, aircon and ceiling fan, beach towels, plenty of storage, comfy large bed, great WiFi signal, blackout curtains, large fridge freezer, fresh towels and linen changes regularly, a very decent sized shower cubicle with fabulous water pressure, numerous socket outlets and a safe. It could benefit from a full length mirror and the water pressure is that good we had some overflowing issues early on - this was resolved my managing the flow and a little bit of diy to clear the trap. The pool area is quaint, very tastefully designed with infinity pool overlooking the sea, various styles of beds and chairs, plenty of parasols, no loud booming music, a laid back and chilled ambience - I doubt club 18-30 lovers would like this hotel as much as we have! The staff are so pleasant and helpful, including manager Theodore who is a gent. We aren't used to seeing staff in uniform in Greece but I think it adds to the quality vision they are trying to create here, they maintain a high standard in all sectors of this hotel. Breakfasts are plentiful with a huge selection, the Tuna restaurant is very good also but I will review that separately. I think this hotel has made a real good go of covering all eventualities that you might encounter on holiday, we had some grotty weather but umbrellas were provided, there are books and games to use as well. I would suggest that it's more suitable for adults, there isn't much for kids to do (no play area or field to let off steam) - speaking of steam, the spa is well worth a visit - we really appreciated the hour we had in there. There are some signs around the hotel of ageing to the fabric of the building, minor cosmetic stuff mostly, a little bit of medium grade repairs required externally maybe but nothing that would make you think there is neglect, we are in September now so could be on the agenda for winter? We have both thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would like to return one day, the odd weather prevented us from exploring the area as much as we would have liked, so there is definitely a likelihood of us revisiting Halkidiki, and especially Rigas Boutique Hotel.
