Behind the hotel is a residential area with a slope down into the village.Afytos has lots of lovely tavernas and quaint little shops with a pretty little church in the square. It's an ancient village with plenty of interesting buildings & places to explore. The Village is set high up over the sea and beaches which allows magnificent views especially at sunset !! You can get down to beach via lots of steps where there are more Tavernas beach bars and a really nice chilled out beach club ( lime bar).
You can't fail to have a wonderful time.....Hope this helps.
