A group (14) of us stayed at Hotel Bayahibe for ten days while on a dive trip. The hotel is less than one block from the marina. The hotel has free WiFi, but it is spotty in your room. The best place to get WiFi is in the lounge area on each floor. Our room was on the third floor. The room was clean and simple. The hotel is in a downtown area, so there is noise from the street or neighbors. From my perspective, the noise was not extreme but something to be aware of if you expect zero exterior noise. On occasions, there was music playing outside, but it usually quit before 10:00 PM. I simply turned up the ceiling fan for a little white noise and went to sleep. No big deal. The AC in our room worked great. We had a balcony on the third floor, which was nice. There is a refrigerator in the room, along with two bottles of water each day. Breakfast was included in our package deal. The eating area is by the pool. The hotel staff speak very little English, so brush up on your Spanish or get an app on your phone to translate. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. There are several restaurants and bars a few steps from the hotel. There is no elevator so keep that in mind when packing your luggage. The hotel is not fancy, but you are not paying an arm and a leg for the room. The pool is nice as well as clean.

This place was so clean you could eat off the floor. It was in a great location and was a great value. The bed was very comfortable and the pool clean. If we hadn't only rented the car for 1 day - we would have stayed 2 nights.

The hotel (the building, rooms, etc) is a three star. I will start with that. However, for the town of Bayahibe, and due to its location and additional amenities, I am giving it a four star. My room contained two queen size beds.It was located on the third floor and had a balcony from which I could see the harbour and the ocean. It was cleaned every day. Bath water was hot each morning and water pressure was very good. Two bottles of water were placed in the room each day. The room contained a refrigerator, air conditioning, a fan, television (some English speaking channels including HBO) and a safe. WIFI was not available in the room but could be accessed in the lobby of each floor, and around the swimming pool. Staff does not speak English, but they are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to several restaurants that surround the harbour and the beach; and is also close to a small supermarket and a convenience store where everyone gathers in the evenings to listen to music, play dominoes and drink beer. Now for the best part. All of this for $40 a night, including breakfast. I ended up paying a little more because I booked my room through one of the online booking agencies. However, you can call the hotel directly and book a room for less than what you would pay by going through one of the online agencies (809-813-4650. However, you will need to speak Spanish).

This hotel is on the main road in Bayahibe not far away from the center where there is a continuous party. The internet works only occasionally. If you have to stay here ask for a room at the back of the hotel. It won't help much. Everyone hete plays their music louder than their neighbor.

I paid $40/night. Credit cards accepted with no surcharge. Good breakfast included. Big room with balcony. Good A/C and powerful ceiling fan. Minifridge. Bathroom is small, but you have places for your toiletries. Excellent hot-water showers. WiFi. Rooms very clean. Two free water bottles provided daily. Pool on second floor. Very centrally and conveniently located. Excellent staff. Really ticks off all the boxes you need...
