Lovely little bamboo bungalows in the garden. Helpful staff and a short walk to the waterfront. It can get really hot here, no breeze, so book with air-conditioning if you like to sleep at a moderate temperature. Draft beer in the restaurant! Good healthy breakfast too.

I enjoyed my time at Mayas, but it was much more basic than I expected - it's definitely a bare bones, budget hotel. I stayed in the air-con bungalow, which was spacious with a double and single bed, closet, and wet-room style bathroom (that was, I should add, completely covered in mould). There was also a nice porch outside with...

The cottages are set in a small garden, and the place has a welcoming, appealing look. I stayed in a Eco Cottage with fan and aircon options. On the inside, a plus point is that it is very spacious. Lots of space for bags and gear especially if you are here for diving, which is what Moalboal is known for....

I can't understand why this place has such good reviews! I am basing this on similarly priced accommodation through our four month backpacking trip in Asia and so bear in mind that I am not coming with very high standards at all... We stayed for four nights in the native house. Perhaps the other rooms would be better but I...

We, two friends, stayed at Mayas for 5 nights in an Aircon Eco Cottage. + staff is very nice, friendly, helpful, open-minded, caring + cottage is spacious + warm shower + clean sheets & towels + good restaurant (try the breakfast burrito) - spider webs & dirt in the cupboard - damp smell of bedlinen (after they changed the linen,...

Good location. Great value for money rooms. Snorkling is great just outside hotel and the food served in the restaurant is good. If you stay here on a saturday and want to sleep you have 2 choices, either join the party next door and have fun or lay awake all night from the disco sounds to 6 am. Overall its...

We've stayed in an air-con hut that was quite spacious and had a separate bed for the child. The garden is really nicely kept and boasting some of the rare birds (better seen at sunrise), such as a blue kingfisher. The personnel is very friendly and their restaurant is really the best in the whole village, boasting some killer sine...

We booked the Eco Air Conditioning cottage for two nights. We really liked the cottage-style garden accommodations. The place was quiet and we had a peaceful stay. The room was spacious, clean, basic, and pretty decent for a budget resort. However, the pillows and curtains were too thin. Friendly staff. The highlight of our stay there was the food. Order...

We arrived on Saturday afternoon to a party being set up in the restaurant area, and we were invited to join for the BBQ and Oktoberfest celebrations. We were also told that we had been 'upgraded' to another cabin so that we weren't so close as we were told the music would be loud. Though it was a nice gesture,...

During the APEC Week, I left the hustle and bustle of city life behind and escaped to Cebu. It was an amazing experience and we hopped to different cities to fully enjoy my 6-day stay. When we were in Moalboal, we booked in at Mayas Native Garden which is a very cozy place with very friendly Cebuanos. We stayed at...
