We came with the boat from Luang Prabang and we asked our guide for a room. He reccomendend this place and we were quit suprised, because the room was really clean, sheets were white and crisp, hot water, water, soap toilett paper was placed in the room, towles, nice balcony. I agree with other reviewers that the place is clean and well-located, walking distance from the boat landing. However, for $20 a night (in Laos), I expected a nicer room. Twin beds, shower gets everything wet, noisy in evening though luckily the bar across the way closes early. Not bad at all, but considering that you can get a room...

This place is living off of its decent tripadvisor reviews and the fact that no one want to take a risk for a single night between boat rides. It's fine but he charges more than competitors (we couldn't get him down from 80k) and it has a similar level of bugs and barebones furnishings. Particularly in the low season there...

-5 minits walk from deck. -low swason, so it is lucky for me to get the room, standard deluxe room, 80,000kip. it is cheap because Pakbeng are limited in provided place to sleep. -rooms got fans, no tv, but CLEAN, can acess internet at Monsavan Bakery , opposite it. -so if you are travel in peak season, Nov to Feb,...

Across the road from the bakery means breakfast is an easy choice. Rooms were comfortable but maybe a tad noisy early in the night but not when we went to bed. Plenty of venues to eat and drink at nearby.

As with everyone else, we jumped straight off the boat. The difference being they all looked around at the touts selling, get yours bags, up the ramp, then right at the top as the road passes across in front of you, luckily we gambled correctly going right. 150m, on your left hand side, dark wooden building there it is, opposite...

We stayed here for one night on our way from Hua Xai to Luang Prabang on the slow boat. We called the day before to book (got the number from someone else's Tripadvisor review). When the boat arrived at Pak Beng I walked up the hill to the Monsovanh Guesthouse while my husband waited for our bags to be unloaded...

I booked a single room via Agoda. Room was simple but clean and the location is convenient. Their bakery across the street is really good. There was no electricity in all of Pakbeng the night I stayed there which made sleeping not very pleasant. There is a window but the air just didn't move... But that's not their fault. Staff...

I stayed here for one night when I stopped in Pakbeng traveling from Huay Xai to Luang Prabang via slow boat. I had booked ahead online via Agoda as I wanted to be certain I had a decent place to stay after the first day on the boat. I paid $25 for a standard twin room. I think this was...

Hubby and I stayed one night here on our 2 day boat trip down to Luang Prabang. The place is actually called Monsavan Guesthouse and we booked it through Agoda the night before we stayed there. Agoda have it called Monesavanh Guest House - Pakbeng, Laos hence why most think you cant book it online. We paid about £16 /...
