Any review should take into account the circumstances. That is why we have given this rating. It is clean, has great views and helpful friendly staff. Beautifully presented. It has Wifi. It doesn't have air conditioning but does have fan and mosquito net. We were very comfortable.

We stayed here for just a night when doing a slow boat from Laos to Thailand. We didn't book in advance, but booked on the riverside. This place was a very reasonably priced and in the perfect location. Wifi is a bit dodgy but otherwise we loved the room. Location wise it is perfect for getting a boat but there...

We went here a few weeks ago (as most people) for 1 night in the middle of our Chiang Khong to Luang Prabang boattrip. The rooms are nice, very good bathroom and nice views of the Mekong River. Downsides: you can see through the wooden walls, ceilings and floors! Hellooo Neighbour! I had a room in the first floor, these...

Stayed here as many do on the way down the Mekong to Luang Prabang. Wood and bamboo local style rooms with great balcony views over the river and the bed was quite comfortable. However, the lack of decent lighting was a problem leaving the rooms very dark and gloomy. Large bathroom with good shower. Free breakfast in the restaurant was basic...

We stopped at this hotel on a trip down the Mekong in early February. The hotel looks great from the river, its balconies jutting out from the hillside above Pakbeng. On arrival the manager was surly and uncommunicative. Our upper room overlooked the river and had a balcony. However, the room had no glass in the windows, only louvres, so...

Our confirmed reservation was denied due to mismanagement (overbooked ). We offered a room at nearby inferior hotel and told price was "same same" which is a lie we confirmed online. Manager then offers free Breakfast and dinner, which were poor and average, respectively. Cannot recommend supporting this dishonest man.

We stayed one night on our way to Luang Prabang. The room was very clean and there is a great view of the river from the balcony. It's good value for what you pay (as prices are a bit higher in Pakbeng). They didn't tell us we had free breakfast at the restaurant across the street - which we would...

The accommodation is in upgraded local style huts, wooden floors, bamboo walls and shutters on the windows. The rooms were large and the bathroom was clean and serviceable. Each hut has a balcony that overlooks the Mekong River. A very pleasant place to be to take in the sunset.

This accomodation is in a good spot overlooking the river. Our room was clean but very basic. Comfortable bed, hot shower, mosquito net for protection but no other furniture such as wardrobe or safe. Breakfast was in the restaurant across the road and consisted of bread and jam, a small portion of scrambled eggs, tea/ Coffee and some fruit -...

The views and lodge itself are lovely. The owner is rude and has no care for his guests. It's a shame as the staff here are really friendly, but someone needs to tell the owner to a) cheer up and b) teach him some basic customer service skills, of which he lacks. Do not bother with their restaurant across the...
