We stayed at The Lodge for two nights and loved the ambiance of the place. Our room was well appointed and the bed very comfortable. We ate in the bistro beside the bar. The menu provides plenty of choice and while the portions are small the food was delicious and surprisingly filling. we enjoyed it so much we went back...

What a lovely two days we enjoyed staying at the Lodge and exploring Cong and the grounds of Ashford Castle! The entire staff, starting with Niamh at Reception, were so friendly and helpful. The Lodge itself is light and airy and beautifully decorated. We began each day with a delicious breakfast overlooking the Lough, spent hours walking through the woods...

We enjoyed a two night break in this very wonderful hotel set in the grounds of Ashford Castle. We arrived on the afternoon of Mother's Day and were blessed with the weather - days of warm sunshine - so perfect for sitting out and savouring the views overlooking Lisloughrey harbour. We were made very welcome - first by Tom, resplendent...

Great room. Wonderful food. Be St seafood chowder I've ever eaten. Irish wolfhounds. Trails. Woods. Communication between the castle and front desk wasn't good. Boat was booked for a wedding so the tour advertised for 1100 was not available. Not a major crisis. Wonderful place.

We stayed at The Lodge for three nights in April 2017 as part of a family trip to Ireland. We had booked two duplex suites and were assigned the Hackett Suite and the adjacent Waldron Suite. Despite featuring all the amenities described on their website, rooms were lacking the wow factor and, to our disappointment, had an unpleasant view of...

Hard to find fault in this Country Manor type Hotel on the grounds of Ashford Castle (to which you have some access). First class rooms (go for a 'Quay' suite), 2 great restaurant choices and what a breakfast! Add to that, down home hospitality from a Staff that knows what they're doing and how to do it. Beautiful grounds too...

Sunday 9th April 70th birthday celebration lunch , nine people for the Sunday lunch menu. First what a glorious setting looking straight down on the Lough. The menu consisted of starter, main and sweet and in each there was a choice of four.Myself I chose a rabbit starter with a beef main and "mojito" as a sweet. Each course was...

Had a really lovely one-night stay in with dinner in Wildes. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food in Wildes was beautiful and our room was lovely and very comfortable. Very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We also did Clay Shooting in Ashford which was really enjoyable with a great guide.

The Lodge is beautiful with stunning views. The accommodation is outstanding, each room is uniquely decorated to a very high standard. The venue was perfect for a wedding and felt very luxurious. Upon arrival my husband noticed the beds had down comforters and pillows, which the staff were happy to change, as I am allergic to duck feathers. The morning...
