I went to the hotel for a meal with a group of friends. The menu was well balanced and we all enjoyed our various meals. The waiting staff were pleasant and the food was served at a reasonable speed. We will go there again when the opportunity arises.

We have never stayed here, we just go for the fantastic Sunday Carvery. What can I say another visit and yet again the Beef never fails to delight us, juicy, truly rare and tender. We like to meet up with friends here as we know we can have a super meal. As always there were three choices of meat on...

This is not a review of the carvery (not used) or the bar (seemed OK). It is purely a review of the accommodation. I stayed in room 5, which is right onto the busy main road with old single glazed sash windows. The road is busy all night and the windows do not isolate you from the noise at all....

Thank you for your review and your comments are duly noted. However, when you made the booking (which you did with one of the hotel's owners), at no point did you request a quiet room. The main road that the hotel fronts onto has virtually no traffic throughout the night, but as it is a main A Road, the traffic...

Went out for my daughter's birthday, there was 4 of us.. did not know the age limit for a child's carvery was 10, ordered 3 child's carvery, nothing was said on ordering it, until I went to pay the bill, they had charged me for 3 adult carverys, told them I only had 1, but said nothing they could do....so...

You asked for 1 child's meal which you were charged for as an under 10's However yourself and the 2 other teenagers were adult meals . This was clearly displayed on the price list at the carvery . We do hope that we may see you again as I understand you enjoyed your meals

Thank you Richard - Malcolm and everyone on the great Valentines crew for making such a wonderful atmosphere. Luscious food, lady accordion player and spot on dance all night DJ - what a warm and welcoming hotel on such a wintry February night :) can't wait to come back.

We have been here a few times in the past and always have a great night. Last night - for the Valentines Evening- was no exception . I mean - where do you get an accordion player in a beret ...... and quo on the disco ! I avoided the frogs legs but crab bisque was thick and luxurious ....

Good Morning, Thank you for your recent review of the Carvery. It was myself Sandra and Sophie in the Bar who Served you your Husband and Son last Thursday evening. You had not pre booked your table, and went to the bar to ask for a table. Sophie came and asked me for a table for three people, which I...

Stayed here as needed accommodation in Langport. Nice enough pub/hotel atmosphere. Hotel rooms tired but clean. The Carvery is just what it says, meat was very good, veg a bit like school dinners. Parking isn't an issue as public parking nearby. I'd stay again, but it is all about value for money.

We recently visited for Sunday carvery. After a quick drink we were called through by a charming waitress who said your table is ready exactly at the time we had booked. The food looked amazing especially a huge turkey, and there were several other meats awaiting to be carved. The turkey was cooked and carved tó perfection by a very...
