A name, a guarantee....a true corner of paradise....for a very high quality-price ratio. First of all the position, it is located in the most beautiful stretch of Lake Maggiore and overlooks a small silent bay; then, recently renovated, all with extreme care and taste and attention to detail; a well-kept garden in every corner, which is also in full bloom in this period; an added gem, and an important plus, is a private beach, set up with umbrellas and sunbeds, terry towels and a shower, to which the guest has free access, in addition to a beautiful swimming pool; terrace on which the meal is consumed with a panoramic view; large rooms in which to linger; obviously parking. Our room was cozy and spotless, splendid bathroom with a large shower. Not a single noise disturbed our rest. Excellent breakfast. We will definitely return, highly recommended.

Our stay at the Hotel Villa Paradiso exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect place to stay for our wedding guests. Our group of 18 just loved everything about it. The high points were: the stunning location, the well appointed bedrooms, swimming from the private lake beach and the delicious breakfasts. Also the young couples very much enjoyed having an impromptu dinner at the nearby Villa Paradiso lake side restaurant.
All in all, the Villa Paradiso looked after us all beautifully.Elise at reception was particularly helpful generally, and even found a make up artist to come to the hotel for wedding make up.

Pros Genuinely charming hotel Really fabulous staff - could not have been nicer or more helpful Beach club by the lake is wonderful - very clean, quiet, safe & the water is divine on a hot day. You do have to cross a busy road so have your wits about you. Beach is a bit stoney - suggest sea shoes. Rooms very clean & modern - they were refurbished during Covid so very nice Very good restaurant called Bella Vista next to hotel with a lovely terrace overlooking the lake.
Cons The major downside not the fault of the lovely hotel but it’s the transport situation. There is not a lot to do in Meina & you will want to visit Stresa for dinner or sightseeing. But the train was not working. There is only one bus an hour. And the last bus leaves Stresa at 7pm. Which leaves taxis. But taxis are incredibly expensive. €50 ONE way for a 6 mile/20 minute journey. And they are really difficult to book as so few of them. We almost got stranded in Stresa one evening after dinner. It’s a real shame there aren’t more buses. They are also often late & can get very busy. All very stressful. Would advise hiring a car. WiFi is very patchy. Cuts out all the time.
Overall, a lovely quiet hotel worth a stay but beware the transport situation!

Pros - great position overlooking the lake and rooms and communal area very clean and well presented. Excellent choice for breakfast and good service overall. Nice pool area and facilities at Lake beach front. Cons - we couldn't find an open restaurant to eat at within walking distance and there is a main road which makes it difficult to walk. We had to take a taxi to Arona (c 5km and c8 mins max and it cost 20 euros each way! Nearby Meina very quiet and nothing opened! Nearby Meina beach club looked lovely and according to website should have been opened but closed! Try Aldo Pizzeria in Piazza del Popolo - fantastic!

We really enjoyed this hotel. We had a large room with a balcony on the third floor with lake views. The room was clean and modern. Breakfasts were wonderful! Wait staff were polite and professional. We also enjoyed the restaurant (dinner); we found prices to be very reasonable and the food delicious. The little beach is only accessible by crossing the windy, somewhat treacherous street, but didn't have any problems getting to it safely. The lake was a lovely temperature (much warmer than the pool).

The pros: Very nice mansion with well maintained pool and beach areas. Ample free parking available. Luggage was brought to the room. Friendly staff. Our room had been renovated recently. Good airconditioning. There’s a nice looking outside lake view restaurant however we haven’t tried.
The to be improved: Upon arrival the restaurant was closed for lunch (yet there were some small dishes available). In between the hotel and the lake/beach there is a busy road. There is no bar service on the beach and as far as I know also not at the pool area (and at the same time the hotel states you can’t consume self brought items…). All in all small things. Rooms with balconies would be great.

I recently spent two nights at this amazing hotel in Lacco Maggiore, and everything about my stay was perfect! The location is stunning, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. The hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with all the amenities one could wish for. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. A special shoutout to Giacomo, who was an amazing host—warm, attentive, and always ready to help. I can't wait to return!

Very pretty hotel in the style of an Italian villa, right on the lake with its own large beach. Very nice, completely, newly renovated room with a very good bed and a huge shower. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff. Free parking directly on site. Separate pool with sunbathing area. Good breakfast, with fresh orange juice, egg dishes, etc. Very good restaurant. Safe storage for SUP and bikes. The town of Arona is nearby and worth seeing.

Didn't travel with Newmarket Travel but from observation of the group they did not appear to leave early morning. Same time as our booked excursions with Thomsons. Really depends on where the excursion is destined for. Zermatt & the Matterhorn will need to leave quite early as a long journey. Earliest we left the hotel was 8.30 but had breakfast before leaving.
There are more places to choose from in the Meina area.
