The campground has 26 sites for tents or campers and caravans. Wonderful view of Lake Como, can take advantage of a quiet holiday immersed in the green or enjoy the attractions nearby (Bellagio, Lecco, Como, Milan). Alongside the road which leads from Lecco to Bellagio, in between the two branches of the lake, and just past the town of Onno, you’ll be amazed by a haven of peace and tranquility called Camping La Fornace (The Brickyard). Even the most distracted traveler will not be able to resist being captivated by the charming and peaceful atmosphere offered by the amazing landscape of the Grigna Mountains. The campsite sits on an ancient brickyard. The stones have been carved out from the quarry in surrounding mountains, carried to the brickyard in minecarts, and now have been turned into flower pots which are sitting there for you to admire, just outside the bar's entrance. The campsite has also a bar and pizzeria., it can be reached by bus or car.

We were blown away with the location and lakeside pitch. It's such a beautiful spot and facilities were perfect. We dined in the restaurant twice, food ( pizza and lasagne) was excellent and prices good too. We also liked the location with a short walk for ferry's (at Onno) and bus stop outside camp.
The downside is the noise.. both road noise and bad music from bar (on one of the nights till early hours of morning). Be aware the road noise comprises of racing groups of motorbikes, through traffic to bellagio and lorries blasting their horns as they approach the bend.
The walk to Onno is mainly on beach , but the short stretch on the road isn't very safe.
We recommend for a short stay as location is great for a day in bellagio.

Room Tip: Pay extra for lakeside pitch. Other pitches are very hemmed in and immediately next to bust road

A stunning lakeside location just south of Bellagio. It’s a small park with limited pitches with a great bar and restaurant. You have access via a little beach to swim, canoe, paddle board etc.
It’s a short walk to the ferry in Onno to head to either Lecco or Bellagio. Onno also has a few restaurants too which were lovely.
The cons are that it’s next to a public beach area and people can party late into the night and play music loud. Also the park is located by the main road so the traffic is loud and the trucks/large vehicles beeps their horns.
We planned to stay 5 nights but only stayed 3 due to the lack of sleep.

We booked this camping after reading a great comment on trip advisor. But honestly I have to say that the view is breathe taking. Aside ? Loud music from the bar during the day. And LOUDER music during the night (after 2 am) because I guess it becomes a local night club at night. But nobody warned us ! And the customers shout out loud at 1 am. Beside the road is just like 5 meters behind the tents so a lot of noise again (day and night). Honestly I slept from 2:30 to 8 am. Oh I almost forgot at 8 am they empty the trash cans near you without any consideration of your lack of sleep (even glass bottles were smashed). We were supposed to stay 2 nights but we won't. Sorry

We stayed for two nights at 38 euros per day!!! On the phone they told me 32 because we were entering the low season!
I phone and they reply that they only have space from Saturday 30/9/23 but we can go anyway and they give me the opportunity to park inside their car park, a field where there are tractors, wood, old cars! Not checked!! We ask to see the pitch that will be given to us but they reply that they don't know, we will see it tomorrow morning after 12! We decide to stop and rest
For a night in this camp!
The next day we go to the pitch!
The discharge of the black water was only for the chemist and that of the clear water for the street!
2 bathrooms and 2 showers, not very dirty but not very clean either!!
An area where cars continuously arrived and stopped for a night!!!
We were never asked for documents and by asking the neighbors not even them😳 (I wonder if this is legal), I was not given the payment receipt!!!!
The surprise was when I went to pay I would have had to pay 25 euros even for the night in their tool storage car park!!!! Clearly I refused to pay for that night's parking!!
Camping made only for foreigners as they can ask for what they want and screw them as they want!
I do not recommend this place not because the location is bad but because of the incorrectness they have!!!!

Perfect place for good food, good drinks, excellent views and great atmosphere. We stopped just for dinner and came back the next morning for lunch. Excellent place. Nice friendly staff. Free toilet facilities also! If you like camping then this is also amazing for that too

Today, August 16 we were at the Furnace Very few staff compared to the old management.
Wait more than an hour for 2 cold dishes.
The not-so-nice waitress.
I don't think I'll ever come back.
Also very poor service compared to before as well as dishes

The service and communication before arriving was amazing we missed our flight and decided to take a detour. but sent emails updating the site regularly. they were not only fine with it but very accommodating. we arrived around 1am. there was a mini party (bar was full) but the lady showed us to our site and gave us a quick tour (not much to see)

It was slightly noisy (cars passing by) before sleeping but once asleep never bothered me much at all.

Following day we went to pay and the lady was pretty honest. if we paid the night before we would have been.

we did a lot of activities there (lots to do) and it was a nice place to go back and relax between activities.

only thing I would suggest is is maybe have a nice plot of grass for tents to put pegs in. otherwise loved it and would definitely go again.

Oh and the views were AMAZING.

I absolutely loved it.

I've spent four nights in La Fornace. It's a small camping just in front of the lake, with a nice restaurant and bar. The place is beautiful and the price are cheap. But don't wait a smile from the staff. They are not welcoming at all. The camping seems not to be their priority. During my days there, they didn't clean the sanitarians. You can go there for the view, the situation, but you won't find anything more.

Camping right next to the lake with amazing views. Everything you need. Shower, toilet, view and great bar and the best pizza! Be ready road is right next to it and it’s Local bar open till 1am. We were perfectly fine with that but some may need ear plugs. We had our 3yo with us and she loved her Splish splash in the Lake Como and play in bars play ground. Tiramisu and pizza is must try in the bar And boats2go is nr1 thing to do.

It was a nice camping, quite busy in the weekend, while a lot of people from Milan come in the weekend. Good food. Showers were clean. Nice places to relax at the water. Near to Bellagio which is very nice.

Answer from Alex B

Si, per i clienti del campeggio è previsto l'accesso alla spiaggia, per coloro che vogliono fare il bagno prendendo il sole o per gli avventori del bar l'accesso è previsto da scalette o tuffandosi da un molo.
