Gabriella is a very good host. Only two rooms to choose... Very friendly welcome and excellent support for the needs. Sufficient and delicious home-like breakfast based on Gabriella's surprises. Large room, comfortable and convenient. Awesome view and quiet location. For those who like to walk to center or lakeside for dinner etc., the way back is challenging, due to steep road. Good value for money. In our room, the bathroom gave us some negative impression due to some old fashioned and simple stuff, also little bit neglected. It was clean and tidy though. It could be improved with a little touch of moderner equipment and brighter lighting.

What a view from our terrace. Mesmerising . We especially enjoyed eating out on our spacious balcony. Very romantic. No where to actually eat in the near vicinity but we found a convenient supermarket in Lovere and enjoyed eating on our private terrace with the lake shimmering infront of us. We had comfy wicker 'sunbeds' and sipping a glass of local red kindly gifted to us by Gabriella, the owner whilst the sun set, was sublime. The walks from the b&b are windy and steep and coming back after a day of sightseeing is quite hard work. But the thought of a hot shower and then eating and chilling with that lake view was all we needed. Great romantic stay.

B&B Bellavista is approached by a steep road. parking is in a nearby layby and if there are no free spaces there is a problem as access is difficult. Our room was pleasant and had all we needed. The bathroom and shower were fine. The balcony gave amazing views across the lake. Here breakfast was served each morning. It consisted of a pot of coffee, yogurt, boiled egg, cheese, hard bread, butter and jams, prepacked cake and croissant, apple Breakfast was the time to ask questions and we were given a suggested walk nearby (beautiful) and loaned a map. The rest of the time there was nobody there until breakfast the next day. The only restaurant we were recommended was the one in Castro run by Gabrielle. As there was no wifi we could not look up nearby places to eat in Lovere and so we had to take a chance in the local restaurants - none were anything special. On the day of our departure we were asked to drop the key off in the local restaurant which was not very convenient to us. Credit cards are not accepted.

It was our first trip to the attractive lakeside town of Lovere, on the picturesque shore of Lake Iseo, and we were fortunate to choose to stay at the Bellavista B&B in the nearby village of Castro. Our excellent host for 4 nights was Gabriella, who was kind enough to meet us in the old town square in Lovere and drive us in her car to her beautiful home. Bellavista B&B is superbly situated high above the magnificent Lake Iseo, which is a true hidden gem in this relatively secret part of Italy. We could sit on our balcony and gaze down at the lovely silver lake, which seemed to change its mood and character with the changing light. It is a truly spectacular position with a view of timeless beauty that is romantic and unforgettable. Our spacious family room was very clean and comfortable with a kitchen next door. There was everything we needed for our stay. An ample Italian breakfast is provided and could be taken outdoors on the balcony with the lake and surrounding hills stretching away in the distance. The lake itself is the major attraction in the area. There is a regular passenger boat service which stops at the small villages and hamlets along the shore and is perfect for relaxed exploration of the surrounding hills and islands. Lake Iseo is popular with Italians but it has none of the tourist crowds of the better known lakes Como, Maggiore and Garda. Gabriella provided us with all the advice and information we needed to explore the quaint, quiet villages where the boat stopped. It is a great way to discover the region with its charm, culture, character and cuisine. Lovere is a small town which has plenty of cafes and restaurants and is easily discovered on foot. We walked to Gabriella's restuarant in Castro and had no regrets about eating there. Bergamo, with its majestic walled old town high above the lively new city, is a short drive away or an hour's journey by regular bus service. It proved very easy to reach with frequent flights from East Midlands Airport, near our home city of Nottingham. We were reluctant to leave Bellavista B&B when our stay was over, but Gabriella was the perfect host and gave us a botttle of the fine local wine to ease the sadness of departure. It certainly is a memorable place to return to. Martin Cooper, Nottingham, Engalnd.

We stayed in B&B for 5 nights and were really sad when we had to leave - we loved the place, the view, everything! The village and the surroundings are very nice, calm, quiet, not so many tourists. The hostess was also very welcoming and helping with the information, maps, etc. The only minus could be the bed, however we used to it and it did not ruin our vacation at all. We are 100% sure - we will come back!!
