Stayed three nights in this authentic Italian villa. Great host and a decent breakfast and room. The town of Lovere is outstanding- on the beautiful Lake Iseo it is an absolute delight. The Band Bs location is on the edge of town and on a road with no path- that was the only downside. View was excellent to the left but a dilapidated building about to be recovered spoiled the one to the right.

B&B Villa Palma LOCATION Take bus C (€4) from Bergamo train station – via borgo Palazzo (destination Costa volpino), will arrive in an hour, bus stop 5 mins away from the B&B. Within 10 mins walk to shops, restaurant, grocery store (Iperal Lovere) and waterfront (Promenade Lovere). ROOM & FACILITIES Spacious en-suite room with balcony, in which you can have the view of the lake. Basic amenities are included, like towels, hair-dryer, and bathing gel. The B&B is similar to Airbnb, the host is staying in the house and rent out the rooms, ground floor is living room and dining room with open kitchen where you have the breakfast. Compare to most of the European countries’ Airbnb/ hostels/ B&B/ budget hotels I have stayed, honestly this one is one of which provide the best shower experience (heart x 10). Seems a bit exaggerated but the water control is user friendly (easy to get the right temperature, trust me, it’s rare!) and with high water pressure. Another credit to the breakfast - as mentioned there are only a few rooms but surprisingly many choices for the breakfast (continental), with different kinds of bread (I think some might be local traditional pastries), yoghurt, cookies, ham & cheese, coffee and tea. FRIENDLY REMINDER * No pavement outside the B&B, just need to be careful while crossing the road. * I am not sure if guests can share the living room or dining room (except breakfast time) or not as there’s no kettle in the room. Anyway the grocery store is only 5 mins away. * No 24h reception, please confirm the arrival time with the host. * The bus will drive pass Ranzanico, stunning view by the lake - Lago di Endine, I would describe there as a hidden gem. Nothing interesting but speechless peaceful and beautiful, would recommend stopping by for a walk if you are a nature lover. (with photos attached!)

I had a lovely large room with a balcony (with a small table and chairs). It had a beautiful view of Lago Iseo. Each of the three rooms in the B&B had a private bathroom. Our hosts were absolutely wonderful and very helpful. The rooms are decorated simply but are very comfortable. The breakfast had many options. There was free wifi. The location was at one end of town...about a ten-minute walk to the middle of town.

Rooms are nice, clean and spacious. The breakfast is copious, and most importantly: the owner is very helpful. Not only gives he good advice on what to see or to do, or looks up opening times, he even brought us to the next village which was otherwise difficult to reach that time of the day. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for 1 night in June while travelling with my Dad. The reviews on here convinced us to book the Villa Palma and we were not disappointed. We had 2 rooms - Romantica and Victoria. Romantica is a lovely room - huge with hight ceilings and an ensuite. Victoria is also a large room and it has a balcony. The bathroom is across the hall so bring a dressing gown if you are in this room. It is a private bathroom just for this room. The hosts were lovely and friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good - lots of choice. There is private parking behind the villa too. The only slight thing to be careful of is that the villa gate opens directly on to the road on a corner so you need to be very careful when you are leaving/arriving at the villa. I would stay here again if in the area.
