We found this hotel after spending a night in the dirty guesthouse suggested by a travel agency. The hotel reception area look was simple, but when we step inside the guest room areas, it was very nice, quite and clean. It has a great view of the unknown mountain. The hotel staff wasn't that friendly based on Indonesian standard, but...

Better than expected , clean room, toilet considered clean , at least hot shower is available. Complimentary buffet breakfast is good too ,consist of fried rice , mee , toast , egg/omelette made upon order, and fruits ! Is a basic breakfast , but is really really nice and relax to chill with beautiful scenery after sunrise tour!

This was a very basic hostel, clean, with hot water. It was certainly expensive for such austere accommodations (we tried not to look too closely at the toilet), but prices are always higher in mountainous areas. A huge plus point for us was that it was located less than 30m from the park entrance. The staff were very helpful, and...

I had been warned that the hotels up Bromo were very basic, and not to expect too much, but I was not prepared for this. On the bed were 2 blankets that were absolutely filthy, one of them was white so you could actually see the dirt on them. There was no sheet provided to put between you and the...

we arrived in the evening and leave the hotel 3am for bromo sunrise. Hotel is old with basic requirement (hot water shower, water, boiler, etc), no fan no aircondition in the room due to high sea level. The bed is a bit of moldy, but is ok for short stay. We are late for breakfast time because we spent more...

With some of the reviews on here we weren't too sure how this was going to go...but...it was great. Yes, a little overpriced (but they all are) but asides from that, lots of blankets, clean room, great location, ensuite with coffee/tea/kettle! We really liked it. Breakfast was ok too! All in all, we would recommend it. Other things we learnt...

We booked triple room and we only slept there for 5 hours, as we arrived very late after being on the road for 17 hours (traveling from Yogyakarta). Luckily we got up on time by ourselves for jeep to pick us up, because they forgot to knock on our door. Room was very basic and not very clean, and pretty...

We spent one night here, when we had to wake up at 3 am to climb Bromo. The hotel is not great. Facilities are pretty basic, and the restaurant is not very good (people smoke inside the kitchen....). We did not like our dinner. However, to spend a few hours waiting for the great trip to Bromo is not too...

For the price paid, it was OK. We went for the cheapeast option, which indeed gets you what you pay for; not an extremely clean room, a lock on the door which does not feel really realiable, and no en-suite bathroom. The latter implied taking a shower in one of the two public bathrooms, which looked a little bit run...
