We were at Omaha Beach at 3.15 on a gloriously sunny and warm September afternoon along with scores of other people. Having viewed the impressive monuments to the US wartime landings we looked for some refreshment. The hotel is situated in a prominent position with a terrace giving fabulous views. There were some people sitting on the terrace already with... More

I have travelled the world but was most impressed by this charming place I stayed at this week. From the moment I walked on to Omaha Beach this hotel was on my radar. I walked in and was welcomed so enthusiastically that I could only say YES and stay for the night. This was one of the best decisions in... More

If you're looking for the Ritz, this is not your hotel. However, if you're looking for an EXCELLENT quaint, little hotel with beautiful views, a fantastic and very friendly staff, an outstanding meal, and one of the best places in the area - this is your place. Do not expect the staff to be manning the front desk on a... More

When we go back, this is the only place we will stay again. Staff was friendly (even though they spoke mostly French, with the exception of one young man who worked in the downstairs restaurants gave the impression he didn't want to be at work-but the others were so great, they made up for him.. We were on the first... More

We did not stay at the Casino but dined there for two consecutive days.. their menu was excellent for a quick, yet delicious meal after visiting the surrounding battlefields.. we very much enjoyed chatting with Chloe who spoke both French and perfect English.. their Moules Normandie and Frites were the best I have ever had..

My wife, son and I stayed in this hotel on our trip to France 4 years ago. The first leg of our trip was visiting Normandy beaches, and this hotel was an excellent place to do so. It is a small hotel, and right on Omaha beach at Vierville-sur-Mer. As is the case with most older hotels in France, this... More

We lucked out having a seaside room on the top floor and could hear the waves at night. The hotel was clean but modest. The staff are sometimes hard to find as they are very busy doing everything from reception to working the restaurant etc. The staff speak limited english but found them to be as helpful as possible. We... More

Hotel was very clean and in the perfect location if you have a car. The staff was friendly however, did not speak much English. When I arrived the man at the desk showed me to the room and that was it. He did not take the time to show around and tell me about the bar downstairs. Nice place but... More

This was our second annual stopover at this hotel on our way to the Atlantic coast for a two-week holiday. Having read some of the comments since our previous visit we were fearful that the hotel and restaurant had taken a nose-dive in standards. We appreciate that all reviews are subjective and every establishment has a 'bad day at the... More

We stayed here in August, and had an amazing stay. The location of this hotel is phenomenal. If you are coming to this part of the world to visit WWII sights, then this is the place to stay. The hotel is just across the road from Omaha Beach, you cannot stay any closer. The hotel was fairly easy to find,... More
