JJs backpackers was a lovely place to stay in Siquijor! It's right by the beach which was absolutely gorgeous, chilling on the beach and watching the sunset were the best parts of my stay :) The staff was very helpful and nice and the food was good too. Can highly recommend their chicken curry, it was to die for!

It's definetly the unique place I did not like in the phillipines. The owner was very agressive and insulting gay people. Moreover, they charge differently deppending for the same person. So if they see you as a whealty person they might charge you 700 pesos instead of 600 for a double room.

JJ's Backpackers has a great location on the beach, good dorm rooms, awesome communal area, and some pretty decent food too. In many respects they have a perfect set up. It was really disappointing therefore to witness the seemingly warm and welcoming staff suddenly turn and be aggressive towards guests. After having spoken to a few locals, it appears they...

I found this place by accident but was glad I did as it was perfect. The dorms were sold out but I got a tent right on the beach and felt it was better than a dorm even in the pouring rain. The breakfast and shakes we're awesome and everyone that works there is even better. Also has a great...

I went here with a couple of friends and we were put into a dorm. At first we thought it was awesome! It's right on the beach and is in a great location, the dorms are comfortable and the showers, albeit cold, weren't bad! However, the service was terrible. The receptionist was on his phone the whole time and hardly...

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a private room with shared bath. It looks like they are building more places that look out on the water and those will be really cool. You can eat and drink right out on the beach. Food is pretty good too.

Love being on the beach. The staff care for everything, always cleaning up and making sure the guests are happy. Book library, motorbike rental, clean facilities. A hang out place to meet other travellers, everything I look for in a budget hostel!

We have been there for dinner after reading recommendations about the burgers. We were quite pleased by the food. The burgers are big and tasty, with a home made kind of pita bread. We tried the chicken mango burger which was quite a good surprise, quite fresh with the manguo and very tasty thanks to herbs (Mediterranean herbs i think)....

Good location, right in front of the beach, overlooking the sunset, but the units are getting quite rundown. Built-in kitchen feels old and quite dirty feel. Small resort with only 2 cottages (1 aircon, 1 fan)

This place is just awesome. The owner and the whole rest of the stuff if just so nice and helpful. Two days we stayed in a twin room and the last in a tent on a beach - both were just fine. Brewed coffee and breakfast i tried were very good and the dinner food looked really tasty too -...
