Pelican Beach at South Water Caye is so phenomenal I don't know where to start. When I got off the boat I felt like it was straight out of a movie. It's beautiful: sand, some palms, and ocean. Leonard and Theresita were excellent hosts, arranging whatever it is that you need. We stayed in the Heron's Hideaway room, which is...

OK, we got off the boat on this island. I just started laughing. Yes, that's right, just laughing, because it was so ridiculously perfect that I could not believe it was real. The gentleman who greeted us started laughing too, because he knew exactly what was going on in my mind. We went with our two small kids, who we...

We spent 4 nights at Pelican Beach on Southwater Caye and wish we could have stayed longer. It was amazing! We were barefoot the entire time -- the sign of a truly relaxing vacation!! First, the staff were such amazing hosts and made us feel so at home and comfortable. Leonard and Terry made sure that we had everything we...

our 3 weeks "around Belize trip " we ended at SWC for 5 days and despite the cold front that hit us on our last 2 days we felt so surreal and blessed that we had the change staying on this magical little island. We left Dangriga with beautiful weather so a smooth boat ride took us to this little...

We booked 3 nights and 4 days, thinking we would get bored here because we like to go, go and go faster. We should have opted for one more night. First of all - I'm not a tree hugging "save the whales" type of guy. I would like I think I'm responsible and don't litter and obey rules such as...

Pelican Beach was an amazing end to our travels in Belize. We spent three days here. We spent most of the days out on the boat with Alton, who was an amazing guide. Kevin and Mr. Leonard were great hosts. The kitchen staff was amazing. All of the food was wonderful. There is wifi in the bar. Our room was...

This is a beautiful place to visit, and great for families. Snorkeling and fishing is great. The food is good -- but the hotel does not really offer any decent snacks. Bring a bunch. Take a detour to the island of frigatebirds on your way to or from the island.

Doing a familiarization trip considering properties for women's group tours, this was recommended by our travel designer. OMG. Simple. Authentic. Non-commercial. Paradise. Our approach by the boat from Dangriga told us immediately we were about to touch land in paradise. Our boat ride over was pretty wet because the waters were choppy so be prepared just in case. Rain ponchos...

Our stay at Pelican Beach was fantastic. The entire staff was great particularly Leonard. He saw to everything we needed and was great with post dinner conversation on the breezy deck lit by tiki torches and candle light. Every meal was delicious with fantastic local flavor: think lobster, cassava pudding, fresh baked goods and fruits. The accommodations were good with...

Difficult to describe this place in words. This place is magnificent. The resort is perfectly low key and eco-friendly - if it were any more luxurious it would take away from the terrific natural beauty of the beach and island. The resort is covered in perfect white sand, and you can walk barefoot everywhere you go. The palm trees sway...
