It is a quiet hotel at a quiet town, the most boring place I've ever been. Even in August there were no clubs or places to go out. The accomodation was ok, but the beach not too good. There was a noisy waiter at breakfast, singing and shouting all the time. Really annoying!

We booked this hotel because we had stayed at the mix Colombo the previous year and found ourselves drinking in their coffee shop all the time, so we booked here instead. The good points: If you want a beach holiday, you can use the beach from the hotel, even though it is across a street. The beach is cleaned regularly... More

We had a good week here (Sept 2016). Upon arrival we were told our room had been upgraded. So we were on the top floor with great views of the lake and beach. The décor is quaint and the staff are helpful. There is a good bar downstairs. Negatives Food is poor with no signs so you don't know what... More

A beautiful hotel, excellent amenities. Brilliant location. I cannot fault this hotel at all, it was perfect and I definitely shall be booking it again and recommending it to anyone who cares to listen. The room was spotless and so was the rest. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

Just spent a week in this very pretty hotel, the charm of the interior with its fountain, stained glass panels and numerous statues, plus the nice lady on reception who informed us that we had been given an upgrade to a room with a terrace (we had booked a balcony assuming it to be the same thing) made a very... The paella, on offer, (I should have known and still not cheap at 9 euros!) is to be avoided at all costs. It is obviously pre-packaged, microwaved to order and is almost devoid of meat/fish. Slushy, over-cooked rice and the least authentic I have ever tasted. Terrible disappointment and very patronising to visitors who are obviously believed to have no... More

Just spent a week at the Hotel Peymar, what an experience. Customer service doesn't exist, if you don't like it, lump it. The waiters in the restaurant were friendly but the bar staff were openly hostile, I have never experienced this type of attitude from staff on any holiday anywhere. I definitely got the impression they didn't like English tourists,... More
