I feel compelled to write this review to warn others against the uncomfortable vibe I received here after 2 or 3 days. The location is truly stunning and ideal for Ibiza town and the walk to the harbour and back was steep and good for keeping fit, HOWEVER afer the first couple of days I started to feel isolated and...

My friend and I decided to take refuge at the corsario after our first hotel we booked was a bit of a disaster. After a night at the original hotel we moved on to the corsario thinking we'd treat ourselves. Being Ibiza veterans we know the island well, and always try to stay within walking distance of ibiza town. Our...

we have been to Ibiza a few times and we like staying in the Dalt Villa, You can walk everywhere in ibiza town. The El cosario is about a 5-8 min walk up the hill in the old city. I was concerned about it being too hot because there is no ac but it was fine. the hotel has alot...

The first few days of our stay went pleasantly enough, with the receptionist being friendly and helpful for the first few days . However some problems-notably, failure to clean our room-began to arise. We came in late from clubbing one night and from then on were greeted by the receptionist with very curt hellos rather than the friendliness of old....

I staied here in July 2005. The hotel and the rooms are amazing, very nice ancient fornitures. The staff is very nice and helpful. The owner is a very nice eclectic woman, and the other staff is marok origin, but very friendly and nice. Many cats around the garden, and the breakfast-dinner terrace is amazing with a breathless view on...

If you are looking for your “run of the mill” Hilton esq. hotel with all the amenities then perhaps El Corsario isn’t for you. But if you want a beautiful, unique, and truly magical hotel, that really captures the feel of Ibiza, then I highly recommend you book a room at this place. I stayed four 4 days in August...

A group of friends and I booked El Corsario for a long weekend in June 05. The location is beautiful, though a little tricky to reach being in the highest part of Ibiza Old Town. The hotel itself is a warren of about 15 rooms scattered over five floors. What it has going for it are the building, which is...

Well what can I say about this hotel. Booked it for a long weekend with a group of friends and it was just as I expected. The first comments portray it most accurately. Its not brand new, its not immaculate. Its rustic with charm in a beutifull area that is steeped in history. Yes its a 10 minute walk up...

We are a young couple that look for a clean decent sized room preferrably with character. We requested a "special double" and were given a very small standard double room. After requesting another room, we were given (at a higher price) a larger room that was in serious need of an overhaul - a good start would be buying a...

Loved the place - it was very thick in ambiance. Amazing historical value. Very accomodating staff. The only negative is no a/c, but if you can live with that, there's no better place on Ibiza.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Histórica. The legend is alive! An ancient corsair's palace from the 17th century in the heart of the antique old town. Cradle of the legendary artists group "IBIZA 59" which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2009. From W. Gropius to Pink Floyd, from Grace Kelly to Romy Schneider, from Onassis to Errol Flynn - they all were enchanted by the charme and the poetry, the heavenly peace and the overwhelming view over the lower part of town and the harbour. El Corsario is pure Ibiza, a never aging"Magic spot" right in the middle of the World Culture Heritage. A tiny little intimate "hideaway". ... more   less
