We stayed in Villa Almarik for 3 nights. The room is big, comfortable, and the bathroom huge! We loved the breakfast as well as the afternoon tea that you can take between 4 and 5, both are delicious. We also ate in the restaurant and the food is nice and the price is good for the quality. You get a...

We had a one night stay on Gili Trawangan so this central hotel was brilliant. Our main goal was to snorkel and see the turtles and this hotel is perfect for this, we went snorkelling with the guys just outside of the entrance and they were great. The room is basic but lovely, we would of happily stayed a lot...

After staying on 5-6 hotels around Bali and Gili, this is the only i have rated 5 stars. Rooms were nice, affordable and staff was sweet and very personal. Read some reviews about the restaurant being expensive, this is not the case. It is actually very affordable compared to the food you get. Housekeeping made the room in the morning...

Villa Almarik is a hotel I would definitely recommend! The staff were so friendly, welcoming and happy to help with anything you need. It is a great location great snorkelling out the front and beautiful sunrises in the morning. My room was clean and exactly like the photos on website! My room was cleaned everyday. The aircon was good and...

Spent 5 nights there recently and enjoyed every moment.bought young kids 3 and 5 which was definitely easier with the friendly staff..rooms are spacious and accommodating for families..location is great close to most things yet far away from the noise of parties which crank every night..the draw card is the bamboo bar which has an amazing natural ambience giving that...

We dined here last night as we were heading past and thought it looked nice. First things first the chairs are wooden and when we asked for a cushion we were told there was none. Not a big deal but gives you an idea that there is much work to do here. My girlfriend had a margarita pizza from the...

We have been to Gili T a few times and usually go to Villa Almarik almost every day for lunch, drinks and a swim. Today we arrived and were charged 100,000Rp per person just to take a seat. It's a shame, it didn't make us feel welcome at all and we won't go back.

Dear Ms Vicky Longhurst, First of all, we thank you for your visit to Bamboo Restaurant of Villa Almarik. I conclude that there must have been a miscommunication or most likely an incorrect use of sentence by our staff to pass the accurate information to you. Sun beds in Bamboo Restaurant are reserved for Villa Almarik in-house guests. However, when...

Overall we had a great stay at Villa Almarik. Great room, breakfast, nice dinners in the beach restaurant. But we had an akward incident in the pool that kind of ruined our memory of the hotel and I would like to warn other travellers, especially with young children. The pool only has 1 drain to filter out the water (on...

Dear Ms Verlee, We are very sorry having acknowledged your disappointment from your recent visit to Villa Almarik. The Management sincerely apologize for the unlikely event, and very grateful to see your daughter have swiftly recovered during your stay period with us. In Villa Almarik, we have dedicated a small and shallow pool assigned for toddlers and parents, designed with...

Really impressed with this place, staff where so friendly, service was fab (even fixed my broken glasses). It was very quiet but it's the start of low season so not their fault, much the same across the island. We hadn't planned on staying more than a couple of nights and then a week later flights forced the issue. Would have...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Almarik is on the island of Gili Trawangan, near Lombok, Indonesia. Originally home only to a handful of fisherman, it is surrounded by underwater coral gardens and covered in tropical blooms and trees. Whether you're looking to dive some of the best sites in Indonesia, snorkel, explore or simply relax in sun, Villa Almarik is the place for you. We will feed you the best of local and international cuisine, show you the best parts of the island both on land and under the sea, spoil you with massages and make sure you have everything you want and need. No cars or motors are allowed on the island. The hardest decision you'll have to make while you're here is whether to walk, cycle or take a horse-drawn carriage down the island's sandy roads. Villa Almarik is only a short distance from an area alive with bars and restaurants where you can dance the night away or just enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains and sea as the sun sets and the skies light up with stars. ... more   less
