Hi, if you go left out of the front (along the seafront) it is just a 5-10 min stroll to find shops, bars and restaurants. You can book a trip to market shopping trips if you wish, about 8 euro. I can recommend a taverna called Nisiotiko, into Tigaki turn left and look for the tavern with all blue painted tables n chairs. They offer great food, a lovely welcome and very good value. I did hear there was a very good steakhouse, but I loved going to Nisiotiko (going through the menu) I never went anywhere else, sorry I cant comment on any others.
