We went to Macau without gambling in our mind. Our main purpose was just relaxation and a tour, so Hotel Royal was best for us and we were not disappointed. It is away from all the noise of the city and it is just 10 minutes walk from the Senado. They also have a hotel shuttle that cover almost all...

As soon as we arrived in the hotel, we were greeted by their very friendly staff. Our room was nice, the buffet breakfast was good. Kudos to Ronan (Front Desk), Nhap (Concierge) and Edmund (Lobby Lounge waiter). The hotel is also just a 10 minute walk to Senado Square.

We booked ourselves in the Hotel Royal for one night following Tripadvisor's reviews and were not disappointed. Outside the place look a bit grey and outdated but the lobby and the rooms are great. We paid 750 HKD for a superior double which included breakfast and free internet and were positively surprised by the size and the decor or the...

We stayed at the hotel for 4 days, one thing really stood out during our stay was the service of the conceige, an elderly chinese man. He made our stay at the hotel so good, first, he took out a tourist map (none @ the airport) and virtually pointed out the places of interests to us. He planned the entire...

The hotels location is in the hill above the "strip" with casinos. Overlooking a nice park and situated with the old town on walking distance. The language skills of 98% of the staff are really low. At the reception they dont understand the questions I had, the porters dont understand where you want to go..very frustrating! The beds are very...

If is definitely worth staying in this hotel, even it is a bit pricey maybe due to weekend rate. The check in/out process is a bit slow but our room were upgraded and we were happy with that. The room is very spacious so as the bathroom. However during our stay, the hotel is being renovated. The bell boy service...

On Tripadvisor it is listed as a 3 star hotel. According to Macau's tourism brochure it is a 5 star hotel. I personally give it a 4+ star. Under noisy renovation/construction as of Sept 2009. Do not plan on staying in the room during the daytime. I stayed for 2 nights in the deluxe room(which is better than the regular...

The food served during breakfast is so consistently the same that I decided to skip my breakfast on the 4th day of my stay. The staff at the breakfast area needs to be trained on providing services with a genuine smile. Imagine walking into the breakfast area and stopped by someone who looked like the just lost the monthly pay...
