Welcome to the Armada Hotel, the perfect retreat for you to relax after a day spent exploring the natural beauty of County Clare or from your adventures along the Wild Atlantic Way. Experience a taste of West Clare and enjoy creative dishes and drinks from the uniquely styled food outlets, which include Johnny Burke's pub and the newly designed Aileen's Restaurant and Ocean Bar. The menus feature local food, artisan food producers and dishes with herbs and vegetables from Armada Farm. Soak up the stunning Atlantic views with many bedrooms overlooking the coastline, as well as spectacular views from our restaurants and outdoor terraces. And while you are a guest with us here in the Armada, we invite you to dive right in and enjoy great days out to the Cliffs of Moher, Loop Head, The Burren or the Aran Islands. For the adventure seekers, there are a host of outdoor activities so be sure to try your hand at wild sea swimming or surfing on Spanish Point beach, kayaking at the White Strand or cycling around Loop Head. And after a day spend exploring, we recommend a visit to Johnny Burke's pub, a cosy spot where our Armada history began over 50 years ago and where you’ll be assured of a warm West Clare welcome!

I went for dinner last night with some friends and family in Aileens restaurant, the food was amazing, so fresh. I would definitely recommend the monkfish! But what really impressed me was how in touch the owner, John burke was with both his staff and us guests. He made sure to attend every table and welcome everyone and crack a joke at the table, that was in between sweeping the floor and helping out where ever he was needed. It's great to see with the huge success the hotel has had in the last few years that kindness and humbleness its what's helping it grow!

From the minute we arrived (to a welcome dessert plate, prosecco and handmade chocolates in our room) until our departure (with a loaf of homemade bread, jam and chocolate) we felt the warmth of the welcome and hospitality from the staff in this wonderful hotel. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday and we really enjoyed every minute. From the delicious food, the splendid cocktail offerings, the sleeps, the swimming with the local community who literally welcomed me with open arms to the staff, for everything begins and ends with them. That's why we are happy to be return visitors, time and again. Thank you.

We had a lovely visit to Spanish Point. Beautiful location. Staff very courteous and friendly. Just a few picky observations. The number of available charging points could be made move prominent on the website. It would also be helpful if some penalty could be imposed on non electric cars using these facilities. After all these is ample parking available throughout the property. Midleton Blue Spot in JB Bar priced incorrectly !!

Stayed at the Armada for a family wedding, lovely venue, really friendly and helpfull staff, lovely views, we were made to feel very welcome. Food was great, the pub was great the wedding experience excellent. Only criticism was the room was cramped, there was too much furniture in the room, however that meant plent of room to sit. TV service in the room, very outdated and clunky, not very user friendly.

Arrived to a warm welcome to this very well appointed hotel beside the sea in Co Clare . Our rooms were not ready but we used the time to get acquainted with the hotel and enjoy some lovely fresh scones with coffee . The decor throughout the hotel is most inviting and easy on the eye casually a comfortable feel . We had a beautiful room with views onto the panoramic and wild sea. What was exceptional about this hotel was the genuine warmth of all the staff we encountered. They were with no exception s helpful at every turn and hospitality certainly came naturally to them , warm , friendly and helpful at all times. The food was 1st class and of a very high standard. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast. I should also add that we considered this hotel to be good value for money. Ireland has come a long way with hospitality and especially food in hotel scin the last number of year s The Armada is a great addition to the hotel s of Co Clare for a short or long break We look forward to returning

Beautiful hotel, rooms and decor are amazing. Spotless clean. Breathtaking views from the dining room were fabulous. Food was top class, breakfast was sublime, staff extremely friendly and couldn't do enough. Manager at reception is among the best we've ever encountered, a class act. Hotel bar is beautiful and serves some of the best Guinness you'll ever have, barmen were great craic too. Looking forward to coming back already

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here recently. The food was excellent and well priced. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Nothing was a problem. Will definitely be back again to sample the more extensive dinner menu. The lunch menu was faultless but limited. Lovely dining room and amazing location
