The hotel is very comfortable and the staff are helpful and professional. The food is good without being outstanding and the rooms are large and comfortable. However, despite its good points there are certain shortcomings with this property - namely, there is no air conditioning which makes the heavy duvets very hot at night, there are no SKY Sport programmes...

Arrived almost at end of afternoon tea service, yet despite the hotel clearing being busy with a wedding, we were quickly seated. The service was warm, welcoming and attentive. The afternoon tea was delicious, and the champagne very reasonably priced too. Thoroughly recommended.

Every member of staff showed a genuine interest in making our stay enjoyable. The food was amazing. The room was traditional and beautiful. Not a signal bad word to...

We spent four nights at the hotel and had a super, relaxing break. The hotel is sited in its own grounds so is in a very peaceful location. It is sympathetically decorated and furnished with very comfortable beds! More storage space would have been appreciated- what is available is fine for one night but was not for more. Service was...

Doxford Hll has been completely renovated to a very high standard. The craftsmanship within the hall is truly beautiful and to be admired. However, just a point the Coach House where we were based is quite a trek to and from the main building for breakfast and dinner. So this should be pointed out to people when booking. We were...

lovely hotel, modernised in a subtle way with new extensions that doesn't clash with the original building plus a very nice spa. Service and food extremely good. top tip..take a walk to the charming Preston Pele Tower, around 3 mile round trip, albeit on road its a fairly traffic free route - charming little hidden gem - with a £2...
