We were delighted to find Himalaya House was at the far end of the valley right on the river - away from the commercialized 'ugly' parts. We were so comfortable and in love with the balcony and setting - we used the hotel as our base and just took lovely walks right from there, without getting into taxis. The brothers...

From the moment we arrived close to midnight, after a tiring journey from Jammu to Pahalgam, a warm welcome from some of the friendliest people I've met in India really made us feel like home. Imagine opening the door to a cozy room, not to mention a comfortable bed with a warm electric blanket already turned on. Gulzar, the hospitable...

Thank you for taking time to write your feedback-the Hotel Himalaya House is ideal for those who prefer quieter surroundings and spacious gardens. We are slightly away from the busy town area, yet accessible, as we are about 10 mins drive to town or a 15-20 mins walk!wish you a safe travel ahead.

I stayed here twice, in July, and had a great time. The place is so peaceful, and the constant roar of the Lidder River adds to the overall serenity of the Hotel. The rooms are comfortable, and the food and services are great, despite the fact that we were there during a time of unrest in the entire Kashmir Valley....

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days and nights and had the best experience. The hotel staff really knows how to make you feel good. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The food was excellent. I spent hours sitting on the balcony in front of our room, listening to the nearby river and staring at the beautiful scenery....

Due to curfiew we could not reach the place. Military had asked visitors to avoid entering Srinagar. But the hotel refused to refund our bookings for 2 rooms causing us a loss of more than 5K Rs. So, a tip, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL IN ADVANCE.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any record of your booking or correspondence. Phone lines and internet have been down during most part of the the curfew. Can you please get in touch with us again? While Pahalgam remains peaceful, we are deeply saddened by the unrests else where, and how they have affected the whole community and guests. Let’s pray for...
