Nestled in a serene location praised for its convenience, Dunadry Hotel and Gardens offers guests a peaceful retreat with easy access to local attractions. While service levels have received mixed feedback, the hotel's cleanliness and inviting atmosphere are often celebrated, with spotless rooms and beautiful gardens receiving particular mention. The hotel's amenities, including the presence of peacocks, contribute to the charm, despite some concerns about Wi-Fi and spa facilities. However, opinions on value vary, with meal deals appreciated, but some guests feeling let down by service inconsistencies.

I met family at The Dunadty Hotel for afternoon tea and had a fabulous time. The Afternoon Tea itself was fantastic comprising of a starter soup beautifully served in a china cup which was Buttetnut Squash with Manuka Honey and Scottish Lavender. This was served on a plate with a slice of Chorizo Sausage Roll and Herb Bread. Delicious! After our individual orders for tea or coffee were met we were presented with a lavish selection of sandwiches, melt in the mouth homemade scones with jam and cream, and delicious bite size desserts comprising custard tarts, almond slice, strawberry cheesecake and chocolate brownies. We were able to box up any leftovers to take away. The Hotel has undergone a fabulous renovation with beautiful furnishings, bedroom resizing with new technology and customised decor in each. The attention to detail is impressive with beautiful roomy sitting areas even in standard rooms and corridors that have been pristinely painted and carpeted leading you through to the open lounges and gardens. The gardens have also undergone a transformation and with works continuing down to the river you most certainly get the 'Wow' factor as you explore along the paths of the 'secret garden' and discover the old railway bridge. Credit must go to Malachy, the Hotel Manager, a true gentleman who has done a fantastic job overseeing works, has his hand on the pulse of the hotel and takes enormous pride in the transformation. He knows all the beautiful nooks and crannys of the grounds and the building and would never walk past a guest without a friendly hello and pat on the shoulder. A beautiful transformation of a hotel that always had old world charm but I can honestly say now has 5 star appeal. Each time I visit the hotel I am delighted with how friendly and attentive the staff are - first class. A wonderful experience. You have to go see and stay for yourself!! I cant wait to ho back!

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, it was my first time here and certainly won’t be my last. From the minute we walked in we were greeted by the staff and made to feel extremely welcome. Our room was lovely with fantastic views of the beautiful gardens and the food was delicious both at dinner and breakfast. The friendliness of the staff made our stay that extra special and we can’t wait to come back.

I stayed in the Dunadry Hotel on Saturday the start of August 2021 along with my husband and 3 children. I had booked 2 interconnected rooms to ensure my family had enough space to be comfortable as well as enough beds to have a great nights sleep.

I had emailed reception in the week running up to our arrival to confirm the room setup as I didn't want any surprises on arrival. They confirmed for me that 1 room would have the double bed and 1 room would have a double and a camp/single bed, which was ideal. When we got to our room the interconnecting doors were locked and the camp/single bed was missing from the room, so right away I had to call reception to ask for these 2 things to be addressed. Which they then promptly were.

The main aspect of my disappointment relates to the night. I was trying to go to sleep from around 10.30pm, thankfully my children had fell asleep earlier and missed the door slamming that went on from then until approx 3am. I know that there was a wedding on in the hotel that day, and to be fair to the wedding, my issue was not noise from the guests but rather the fact the doors in the hotel had no silencing functions fitted. The noise of people going in and out of their rooms was the worst I have ever heard in a hotel.

This noise was also not helped by the very large gaps under the doors which meant we heard the conversations of every person walking up the corridor. It wasn't that the people were talking loudly or being rowdy, they were just talking and yet I could hear every person clearly.

We stayed in the Premiere Inn Titanic Quarter the week before, the hotel was fully booked, I did not hear one door slam or 1 voice from the corridor.

There was no point in me phoning reception during the night as there was nothing they could have done as no-one was having a drunken room party etc, fundamentally it was the infrastructure of the building at fault.

So after finally falling asleep sometime after 3am then up again when my children woke in the morning around 7.30am we had breakfast then came back to the room to shower and pack before checking out. However on opening the towels on the bathroom shelf to get dried, we discovered 2 strips of false eyelashes stuck to the towel which had clearly been through the washing machine along with the towel (I took a picture as I was so dissapointed at this point).

On check out I told the person on reception that we would not be back. That paying almost £400 for 1 absolutely terrible nights sleep was quite possibly the worst money I had ever spent. I sent an email to the info@ address at the hotel from the website when I got home to ensure they had a formal record of my experience and 4 weeks later they have yet to acknowledge my feedback.

stayed here for two nights over the bank holiday weekend booked it last minute and got a great deal two nights stay for 300 euro with dinner and breakfast included on both nights. we hadn't stayed here before so we were really pleased, rooms were lovely, spacious and a great bathroom with massive shower. breakfast both mornings was very good. dinner on both nights was good for the price that we paid. the hotel itself was lovely, spacious and two nice bars. only down fall and it is small was we waited over 40 minutes for desert order to be taken on one night even though restaurant wasn't busy. but this is only downside we had. overall a really great stay and we will be back to this little gem. also very close to the causeway coastal route if you start on larne side and this was a great way to spend a few hours. really really enjoyable stay and we will be back!

We had afternoon tea with family this week and not one member of staff had a viser nor a mask on whilst serving food. Now just with the covid at the moment anywhere else we have been for even a coffee staff have been kitted out. To be honest we didnt feel very safe as staff members were very close to us whilst serving. Yes there was hand sanitizer and also well spaced out tables but surely as a reputable hotel this is a necessity just at the moment.

Stayed at the Dunadry hotel and had one of the most enjoyable and relaxing weekend breaks with the Mrs and friends as we celebrated anniversaries and birthdays. From arrival to check out the staff were very professional, courteous and nothing was too much trouble especially Amanda on the desk, Rudi who served us and Malachy the General Manager who made us feel like he’d knew us for years. The food was spectacular, the rooms were spotless and inviting with everything needed for a comfortable stay and the gardens were very well kept and pleasant scenery for a dander. Thank you we will definitely be back before long! PS if you like a beer - you will love their Pecking Peacock!

Myself, my wife and 3 other couples attended the annual NYE gala dinner at the Dunadry Hotel and once again it was a superbly organised event. The ballroom setting was perfect, the 6 course dinner preceded by canapes was to the usual very high standards. The waiting and serving staff were smart, polite and ever attentive to our requests, the evening was a very enjoyable experience, this is to the credit and experience of the general manager Mr Malachy McCollum who is the guiding hand to the staff and a friendly face to hotel guests. Great music from the Smoking Jackets and a piper at midnight along with Irish Stew then to bed at 0130 - we had decided to stay the night and had booked a room, which have all been refurbished to a very high standard and then the superb breakfast the next morning. We will be back again next NYE.

Our first day out on the Eat out to Help out I found no better place to go that the Dunadry Hotel. I drove from Newtownards for the experience. The ladies had booked the afternoon tea at £10.00 each we had the lunch that was on offer. Whilst the ladies went and had their tea in another room my brother in law went to the normal place for lunches. We were shown to menu to chose from. I started with the Cold meat platter and my Bro had the soup. He ordered the steak sandwich and I had the fish and chips. Both were an excellent choice. Ryan our server was very good and seem to known what we wanted before we asked. Both the starters and main course came promptly and was piping hot. I have been to places recently were you had to wait a long time due to lack of staff. This was not the problem here. The portion size also good as you can see the fish filled the plate. I asked for more tstst sauce which Ryan brought promptly. There was no room for deserts and we asked for the bill. The bill came with £20.00 off under this new scheme that some places are operating. I then went to reception to enquiry about the New Year's Eve Ball. Amber who was on duty informed me that nothing had been finalised as yet but took my details to contact me. I asked her could we have the same room as last year. She took the trouble to look the rooms up we had and said she would allocate if possible. I find the staff at this hotel very helpful in all matters. The standards have not diminished since I was last here virus or not.

I'm not even sure where to start with my review of Dunadry. Nine weeks ago we decided to switch wedding venue from the South of Ireland to the North, with everything that was going on and I have to say it was the best decision we've ever made.

We had our special day on Monday and everything was absolutely perfect. Amanda looked after us from the start, we planned everything together and she was so helpful and accommodating with any last minute changes. We had Malachy looking after us on the big day. He made us feel at ease and ensured everything ran smoothly. For a hotel that's currently having six weddings a week we were made to feel so special. nothing was too much trouble.

Our guests commented on how lovely and well kept the rooms were as well as how beautiful their dinner was. The gardens and the bridal suite are to die for. I can't speak highly enough for the hotel and all the staff that we came into contact with on the day. I cannot wait for my husband and I to go back to most special place again soon!

Thank you all so so much!
