My wife and I have just returned from a very enjoyable self catering holiday at the Ampavris Hotel. But I do have to say that my wife and I are a easily pleased couple, and it would not be right not to report our true findings. We found George the father and owner of the business to be an interesting... More

Me and my boyfriend arrived in September 2014 and we had a very warm welcome, however arrived to the room and found hairs in the bed, uncomfortable mattress, stains on the covers and there were constant banging noises every night (we thought it was haunted)! Although the owners were absolutely lovely and made you feel at home, we had very... More

Used to be a good complex but has passed it's sell by date. Now in need of a lot of money spending in my opinion to bring it up to a decent standard and staff and family no longer appear to be interested in the place. We won't be returning to this apartment.

Sadly this is a lovely location now let down by the owner George and most of his staff (family!?) My wife and I along with friends have stayed here before but we will not be returning anytime soon. George on first appearance is friendly and welcoming : at the bar : and that is where you'll find him if he's... More

Although the family are very good and the Greek night super, the whole place needs refurbishment. The beds in rooms are very poor and the mattresses are about 15 years old and dirty. The pool area needs repairing and is no good for disabled people or small children. Location is good about ten minutes walk from Kos town, but the... More

We stay at Ampavris Apts each time we go to Kos, lovely location just out of town but close enough to walk into town if you want. The rooms are basic but have plenty of room. We had a one bedroom apt this year and it was very nice. The owners and staff are very welcoming and friendly. "Greek Night"... More

I stayed here with 4 friends for the first week of September and had a fantastic time. We had two first floor apartments, the rooms were basic but that's all you need really. Comfortable beds and plenty of space to keep our things. A bathroom with a shower and bath and the water was always hot! Our towels and sheets... More

My partner and I arrived late on a Wednesday evening to be greeted by a friendly young girl called Eirini, who made us feel welcome and showed us to our room. After dumping our case's we headed to the bar where Eirini served us beers and made us fresh pizzas before we headed off to bed. The room met my... More

We stayed here for 11 nights in August and was pretty much what we expected from self catering in Greece. The apartment was a decent size (yes our door did need a push to open but nothing to worry about) . The self catering facilities are basic but we were not planning on doing any cooking !! We did not... More
