Travellers' Choice
smartline Cosmopolitan Kos is on the outer fringes of Kos Town in Greece, a short stroll from Lambi beach. This low-rise, apartment-style hotel has been renovated to give it a fresh look and a contemporary feel. The exterior is whitewashed in a traditional Mediterranean way. Inside, you'll see white walls, tiled floors and splashes of bold colour. The hotel is bright and airy, thanks to a number of open-air bar and restaurant spaces, as well as some landscaped communal areas. Once you've soaked up some sunshine by the outdoor pool, you could find a shady spot on the terrace and cool down with a drink from the bar. The hotel also has a small garden area you can wander through, and it's a short walk down to the beach if you'd rather cool off in the sea. The restaurant at smartline Cosmopolitan Kos provides Greek and international food, with a wide selection of local seafood dishes prepared to order. At the pool bar, the snack menu should help tide you over in between meals during the day. This is a family-friendly hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. You can enjoy the spa, with its sauna and Turkish bath, and you can book a treatment. The kids can play in the children's pool, or head to the nearby beach where they can build sandcastles and splash in the waves. If you fancy some evening entertainment, you might like to enjoy the lively nightlife scene on offer in Kos' resort centre.

This hotel is in a great location in Lambi, it’s a short walk to the beach and there’s a few bars and restaurants nearby. It is very clean and the rooms are done daily, but by far the best thing about this hotel is the staff. They all work so hard and always with a friendly smile, they can’t do enough to ensure that you get the most out of your holiday. The food is very good considering the restrictions that are in place. The pool area is also brilliant with plenty of comfortable sun beds. We booked for 2 weeks in October and decided to stay for an extra week, we’ve already decided that we’ll be back again next year. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

So glad we decided to bite the bullet and book a late deal to Kos. We were a bit apprehensive what with COVID, however the whole stay was well organised and smoothly run. We stopped in a “Sea View” room - the sea is very much a view, so not sure if we would book again. The rooms are very comfy and spacious- cleaned/bedding towels changed when requested. We had a bit of an issue with the air-con, which we reported to reception and within minutes someone was up to look at and was repaired later that day. Super customer service! The restaurant experience was different, as only the staff team are allowed to serve guests. You chose what you wanted and they plated it up for you. The only downside with food for me was a hot vegetarian option - some nights it was lots of meat and fish dishes and maybe boiled veg or rice, nothing truly vegetarian. Even the stuffed peppers and tomatoes had minced meat in them which was a shame. There was however various salad bits to choose from. Breakfast was lovely, especially the Greek yogurt (not good for the waistline!), pastries, cheese, ham and the usuals. The whole experience was made by the lovely staff, Maria on reception who booked our hire car, horse riding and was full of tips and ideas of where to go. Tanya/Stephanie and girls in the restaurant who were always friendly, helpful and gave you way too much to eat! Thanks for my Birthday Cake 😋 We will be back hopefully in more normal times, however it was sort of nice to stop in a quiet hotel with not too many guest!

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Christina cleaned our room daily to a high standard - 2 twin beds, hairdryer, TV, fridge, ample storage, air con, a nespresso machine and coffee pods (1 euro) and balcony with 2 chairs and a table. The staff work incredibly hard, have enormous pride in their work and go over and above to maintain their high standards. CV19 is managed well at this hotel and as part of that, the buffet is served. This gives the dining room staff Tanya, Stephanie, Zerin and Alison even more work to do but they do so with grace, a smile and its all hands on deck - even Savvas the chef would help out to ensure guests were served quickly. We were never stuck for something good to eat. There's a hotel bar which has an outside, covered area. Manolis prepares the most fantastic cocktails. The pool has enough sunbeds and offers towels. Tony and Alison, who never seem to stand still, look after the pool/snack bar and also the dining room and they do a fantastic job. The hotel is situated 20 minutes walk from town, it is a straight, flat walk. You will pass a variety of bike/ car hire shops, bars, restaurants, small supermarkets. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which takes you directly to the harbour. Maria and Irene at reception can provide you with a map- and we should also thank them for their valuable recommendations. Tips: 1) Take a travel kettle 2) Hire a bike for a few days if you are planning to get out and about as there are cycle lanes everywhere.
