We were looking forward to our stay at hotel framnes but we're unfortunately disappointed with our experience. There was no ventilation in the washroom and the television was not properly connected as well. The lack of a lift meant that we had to move our heavy suitcases up the stairs on our own. Breakfast was to our dismay as the...

There was a horrid smell in room 204 washroom, despite the fan having been wired to run continuously. The Internet would not stay connected. The desk clerk did not care. The stairs would be very challenging for some people. In the morning the whole lobby was dark as they were saving electricity? Maybe I gave it one star too many

What a disappointment - having travelled all day to arrive at just after 9.00pm we could not get a hot drink at the bar - told to make it ourselves in the rooms which were dirty although warm. The supposed views were behind a factory site and a large oil storage drum and the hot tub with spectacular views (?)...

To be totally frank, out of the eleven hotels we stayed in in Iceland, this was the worst. It is not 3* in comparison with others. We stayed for two nights pre booked on our tour of Iceland. The first night we were in a room facing the road and an industrial area but the staff were accommodating to our...

We had a room overlooking the fjord, but that was the only positive aspect to this hotel. The staff were overworked so things like the soap dispenser in the shower were empty. Also had to ask for coffee sachets for room. Breakfast was minimal & poorly organised - had to ask for spoon for cereal for example. wifi frequently cut...

A comfortable friendly hotel. The room was tidy, clean and warm. The seating area downstairs enables conversations with other travellers. The food in the restaurant is of good quality. There is even a hot tub out the back of the hotel for the use of guests. The hotel is only a few minutes drive from the base of one of...

We only stayed here for 1 night and although clean and tidy the reviews are right it definitely needs some TLC, not just in terms of the decor but the facilities to. The shower didn't really work, the blind was broken, the door you couldn't shut but had to slam, but the rooms were clean and the bed comfy! No...

Overall, this hotel doesn't meet a three-star hotel standard... After check-in, the staff told us that our rooms are at another place which is 20 meters away from the main hotel entrance. There is no elevator so we have to hand carry our luggage to second floor of the far building... Facilities are really budget kind of quality: hair dryer...

Great location, obviously has an interesting history but definitely needs a bit of renovations. The rooms were a bit dingy and run down. I also had a room above the hot tub which was a bit loud. The restaurant was nice, another good meal. I would stay here again but it does need a bit of work!

Hotel Framnes was full the night of our stay due to the fact that lodging is scarce in this area. Despite being on the water, the hotel was dated and dark with few rooms having a water view. Breakfast was quite basic. The dining room was closed the night we were there despite being advertised as open for dinner. No...
