Er is mogelijkheid tot lozen van vuil water en chemisch toilet en tanken van drinkbaar water. Is een camping met korting CampingCard Vriendelijk en behulpzame staf. Een aanrader!
The 40 scouts and adult leaders of Boy Scouts Troop 1 from Southborough Massachusetts had a wonderful time in this gem of a town in northwestern iceland on the Snaeflessness penninsula. The campground just above the town, near the pool, is perfect walking distance to the town and activities. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and Kirkjufell looks just like all the pictures (we ascended to the 3rd balcony where the path starts to become unstable, but that was plenty high to get an amazing view back over the whole town.). If you can time your trip to the festival, you will have fun all night down by the pier!
During my recent tour of Iceland, I stayed one night at the Grundarfjordur Campground. The campground was clean and well maintained. The location was ideal, as the town had a nice grocery store to stock up on supplies. There is a large swimming pool complex nearby. Kirkjufell Mountain is within a five minute drive and I recommend exploring other areas along the peninsula.
Ok stop in the campervan. You need to go to the pool area to pay. There were bathroom facilities but no showers. No cooking area like a lot of the other campgrounds we visited. It was very quiet and made for a good first night.
Public managed camping with basic but great quality services (no shower) just side to the swimming pool where you pay camping fee too. Flat ground with wide views on fjord and partially kirjufell mountain. Only 1100 isk per person and not crowded
