Albergo Falterona provided us with delightful accomodation. The Albergo and its restaurant are both situated in a beautiful square were swallows flew and sang. It was extremely picturesque. Our room was spacious, cosy and confortable. The bathroom was just terrific, with a large shower and everything very clean. The staff was welcoming, helpful and patient with my family and I... More

Wonderful lodging in a spot off the beaten track. Fantastic breakfast, informative and cordial staff. Beds could be a bit more comfortable. Major downside is lack of lighting in the rooms. I almost returned to the car to get my flashlight. No reasonable overhead lighting, and no chance of reading while in the room.

Excellent boutique hotel. Very comfortable and friendly. Highly recommended. Run by the lovely Tania and Jessica who are highly professional and informative about the local area. Stia is worth visiting in itself with a couple of very good restaurants. A very good resting place for the tired pilgrim.

Hotel Galterona is small but sympatico, with lots of character. My small room on the first floor had a wonderful figured plaster ceiling, decorated with frescos- cherubs and flowers. The ceiling of the ensuite bathroom was of glass, so as to see the whole ceiling. The small room was tastefully furnished, the bed comfortable. The ensuite was also small but... More

Room was a triple. Bed for the third adult was sofa style in large hallway, but our party slept well. Room was quiet. Breakfast/coffee was very good. Some English was spoken at the front desk, but we enjoyed trying to speak Italian. Wonderful location. We are very happy we decided to stay in Stia and at the Falterona. Only regret... More

-Tutto buono, i ragazzi che lavorono sono disponibili e gentili. Vivamente consigliato! -We stayed 4 days here and were very, very pleased with the service, the cleanliness and the affordability. This is a small hotel, not too overwhelmed by guests and friendly staff. We loved the breakfast variety and the cute little courtyard where we ate breakfast each morning. It... More

The hotel was lovely, in a quiet spot on the main square (though pretty much everywhere in Stia is quiet). Well furnished, the only criticism is the shower room felt rather old and could do with some renovation. Definitely worth a stay.

This is a charming small hotel with well-appointed rooms with character. The only drawback was the bad internet service, with no wi-fi. The location is superb if you are already planning to be in Stia. There are some nice local sites to visit not too far away. The associated restaurant across the road is average, but it didn't seem like... More
