It was our first overnighter in our driving journey throughout Scotland and we were so glad we landed in Keith. This place was so good. From the fantastic host to the clean fresh air, it was a place to remember. The room itself is fairly small and nothing to write home about but as it was just to sleep we didn't really care. Breakfast was included and it was plentiful. Even tried my first haggis here so we received a real Scottish experience. A real pleasure. Our only wish is that we could not spend more time here.
As a single guest I had a big double en-suite room with large sofa, large wardrobe and other furniture. Tea & coffee making facilities, shortbread and bottled water were all provided in the room and the proprietor kindly added a wine glass on seeing that I had brought a bottle. The breakfast room has a panoramic view towards wooded hills and Keith. Cooked breakfast was substantial and tasty. Small well-equipped kitchen for use by guests would be very handy if you were on a tight budget - there is a large Tesco in Keith about a mile away. Since the weather was particularly cold, including some snowfall, the log burner in the guest lounge was especially welcome.
When we arrived we were greeted as we got out our car, with a smile, and a very warm welcome. we were then shown all of the house, the room we staying in and the facititys at hand, theses were fantastice you have a very large room, lovely fresh linen towels, tea coffe, btl water, along with some lovely shortbread. you can have cooked breakfast omg was amazing haggis black booking a really full plate tea coffee juice toast and more. Nothing was to much trouble for this lovely couple Tracy and Dave. we went for two days and stayed 12 days due to my mother in hospital, and we had car problems while there, tracy offered to take us to buckie and back to hospital if we needed her. Stayed at this B&B for its location to various Speyside distilleries, it was a good experience all round. Tracey & Davey were excellent hosts and couldn't do enough for us to ensure a positive experience. We were even taken to the distillery during a particularly bad spell of rain. Rooms were comfortable and clean, the lounge was very relaxing and breakfast was just what we needed, there is also a small guest kitchen making this an ideal location for both business people and social visitors. We will definitely use Haugh's next time we visit the area.
I stayed here overnight while working nearby. The room was large, well-appointed and very clean, with views over rolling countryside, and it was blissfully quiet throughout my stay. Breakfast was cooked to order (and delicious), and Tracey was a very welcoming host. The room rate represented excellent value, and I would certainly return.
