We love this hotel. It is small, family-friendly and on the front line of a sandy beach that is not very crowded. The cleanliness of the rooms is excellent. The restaurant offers a lunch and dinner menu. We have been coming for several years and I think we will continue to return.

The hotel is very noisy because it is poorly soundproofed. It's a shame because on the sea side the rooms have a nice view of the bay, even if the latter is too crowded with buildings. Ordinary breakfast but on a pleasant sunny terrace.

Great hotel facing the sea, very clean, spacious room, very decent breakfast for 5euro...
Very honest cleaning lady, I lost my wallet, I realized it on my way back, big scare, for nothing because everything was intact at the reception

Poor service and food at el chalet. I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant. The waiter appeared tired and disinterested (we did arrive at 10pm). When we commented that the ice cream (individual tub) appeared to have been opened previously, no replacement was offered. Please see picture for portion. This was chops as delivered.

We were only eating in the restaurant. The service was super slow to have the menu of the day, the paella was bad, very salty, the toilet cisterns were broken... to improve. The only good thing is its location with the beach next door, children can go down to play.

I thought it was a family hotel but not at all. I booked with my family for the weekend October 6-10 and it was a disaster. We were at the hotel and from 9 in the morning with screams setting up a stage on the beach (I don't know if it was licensed) and then a wedding and the hotel became a discomobile. I don't know if they have a nightclub license but it was a mess and neither I nor my children could rest. A disaster, it ruined our stay.

Simply familiar, simply comfortable, clean, attentive team, views, easy access, restaurant for any time of the day and night... It is our hotel, and they allow me to bring my little toy Maltese Bichon!!! Here I have everything I need to enjoy and peace of mind to rest.

El Chalet, a family run 3 star hotel on a wonderful beach is very popular with locals and foreign visitors. Refurbished about 5 years ago with excellent rooms, particularly those on the top floors overlooking the beach. It has a superb terrace restaurant on the beach and excellent food- particularly Paellas. Young families will enjoy the ability to eat lunch in peace whilst the children enjoy the mini pool or the climbing frame on the beach in clear sight, just 15 metres from the restaurant when Mum and Dad enjoy a brandy or two.

Two sons, Pepe and Andreas, now run the hotel with good attentive staff. The rooms are clean with balconies and one with a large terrace on the top floor. Buses to nearby Cullera with its mountain top castle, or the station to Valencia pass the front door every 30 minutes.

It doesn't have a lounge as such,(as we would recognise one), but hardly needed in summer season.

We have been going for years, as have our children and grandchildren. Thoroughly recommended.

Even if we arrived earlier than the check-in time, the room was ready.
The room had a spectacular view on the beach and sea and it also had a really nice balcony.
Very relaxing atmosphere with easy access to the beach.
The location was not the best s it is not in the middle to Cullera, but 2km far away.
It is a good location if you just want to enjoy the sea and relax.
The hotel has also a restaurant which is always open and the food is really tasty.
The breakfast is served on the restaurant terrace. It is not a buffet but they provide you a lot of choises.
We definitely racommend it.

We saw rave reviews for this Spanish seafood restaurant on this site. So we decided to give it a try as our cruise ship Windstar docked at Cartagena port. We took a taxi which cost €10 from the port to the restaurant in about 20min. The road to the restaurant is one lane wide, winding and has no sidewalk. As we arrived at the restaurant, the taxi driver gave us his business card and told us to call when ready to leave. We were seated pretty quickly after about 10min wait. The restaurant is very busy with many local families eating there. So the food must be authentically Spanish. No waiter/waitress speakers English and there is NO English menu. The restaurant owner kindly came by and attempted to translate the menu a little bit. We understood enough to order a salad and seafood plater which I would call seafood medley. It has a bit of everything, shrimp, squid, cuttle fish, and several kinds of fish that I cannot tell its name. It turned out many tables around us also ordered this dish. The tomato salad was different but tasty. The fish plater was huge, tasty but on the dry side after a while. The real adventure came after we finished lunch. We asked a waiter to call the taxi for us and were told it would arrive in 20 min. Well, we waited for almost an hour and no taxi to be seen. It looked like we were stranded unless we were willing to walk under the early afternoon sun for close to 2 hours to get back to our ship. We finally took a chance and hitch hiked. So, the best review I would have liked to read when i was planning a visit is not worth going to this restaurant unless you have guaranteed transportation back out of this remote place.
