Excellent aparthotel which thanks to its location has a fabulous view. Well furnished apartment with equipped kitchen. With a 10 minute walk you can reach 3 beaches with clean sea or a beautiful swimming pool.

We liked the spacious apartment and the balcony overlooking the sea was nice for breakfast and supper. This place is well situated for good beaches, bars & restaurants, shops and attractions. We stayed a week and found parking on the street a bit of a problem at the weekend. The housekeeping was every other day. Kitchen equipment was generally OK except we couldn't find the right pods for the coffee machine at the Carrefour... so we brought our own kettle and also needed to buy a couple of wine glasses and dishes for oven cooking. TV was older, not smart, so we had a week off Netflix and listened to music instead.

The room was beautiful, with a good bed and everything was great. The luxury terrace, with good views of the sea. When I go there again, I will stay at this hotel again and I will also recommend it to anyone who wants to go there on vacation. A WONDERFUL HOTEL AND AREA.

Lack of maintenance everywhere. Painting, apartment furniture, walls, etc. The shower and pool area leaves a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness. Moldy tiles. The views are good but it is a shame that the only aparthotel in Cullera lacks maintenance and cleaning. You could get a lot more out of it and renew it.

We came to Cullera via Valencia Airport. Our Ryanair flight was surprisingly easy and calm. We found ourselves arriving at midday into a lovely quiet airport with clear signs. I have to say that easy access to everything and superb connections makes for a great start to a holiday. We chose to hire a car through the Ryanair website and collecting it was swift and easy. It was my first time hiring a car in Spain so I took lots of photos of it before we put the cases in. Happy with the car we set off careful to avoid the toll roads. My sat-nav was great. We arrived at the Aparthotel El Faro (The Lighthouse) and acquired our sea-view room professionally and quickly. The room was clean and tidy and well-laid out with frugal but tasteful decor. The air-con was easy to use and linen was clean and fresh. The views are better than expected and I strongly suggest you request a sea-view room when booking. The aparthotel is well laid out with a pool and games area and a few sunbeds dotted around. Dosel Beach is less than 10 mins walk if you come to the lighthouse path, turn left away from the direction of town and at the statue of the girl drop down some steep steps. You can get to the beach via a ramp road if you want to go a bit further to the local beach taverna. I'm told that the beaches further south around the coast to the main part of Cullera are better but they are also very popular. Personally speaking I loved this lovely quiet family beach. Take from that what you want. During one day we noticed people fishing things up from the breakwater and the kids being naturally nosey investigated. The locals were removing jellyfish and plonking them without any fuss or bother on the sand, rolling them over a few times and then leaving them there. You do need to find the supermarkets early on and stock up on water and essentials because restaurants and cafes are in short supply within walking distance of this place. El Faro means “The Lighthouse” and it is a working lighthouse so be aware the flashing light at night is bright and there's nothing you can do about it. We blocked it because we had heavy curtains. Well done Aparthotel El Faro. There is free wifi and tv is all Spanish.
The kids slept on the sofa-bed describing it as “ok” and I slept in the capacious double bed in the separate room. The bathroom was ok but the window was in an odd position. There is a hairdryer and a bidet in there, along with a shower, storage etc. The kitchen was clean and well laid out; Electric oven, Extraction Fan, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher even.
Whilst the utensils are not the ones you might use at home and are a bit lacking it was possible to manage. NB: Everything you find in the fridge is actually part of the “mini bar” so be warned it all costs money if opened. The living room was big, had enough storage and led to the balcony which allowed us to eat ‘al fresco’ on occasion overlooking the sea. There is a road in between the hotel and the sea but at night it quietens right down so if you have babies you should be fine for evening noise. For the very English among you please note there is no kettle or tea-cups or tea-mugs anywhere near your room. There is a coffee machine which requires that you buy special packets, so we ignored it. Making a cup of tea was boiling water in a saucepan and then pouring it into a glass beaker.
The air-con worked in the room as did pretty much everything. During our stay (early August) we were experiencing temperatures in the high 30’s and early 40’s so the air-con was more of a necessity than luxury in my humble opinion.
All in this location is really excellent value for money and I can recommend it highly if you have children and want safe accommodation. We were the only English people there but that isn’t a problem for me as I speak fluent Spanish. Don’t come here expecting to have the locals fawn over you in pigeon English. That isn’t gonna happen! If you have any medical emergencies please note that the local A&E, which is operated by one doctor, is shut at the weekend so you will need to know how to get to the centre of town to the “centro de salud” for any health issues. Don’t forget to take your EHIC cards if you want to avoid paying for the normal NHS stuff.
You will need dishwasher tablets if you plan to use this appliance but soap for hand dish washing is provided along with a scourer pad. They have a laundry with enough washers and dryers but no chemicals dispenser so you will need soap/conditioner if you plan to use the laundry. Our room was dead opposite this but we didn't experience any bother whatsoever. The garage is 9 euros per day but worth it because the sun cooks cars! Oh and parking to the rear is totally bananas, the Spanish haven't lost their sense of humour when it comes to parking. Please note the garage gate is temperamental and steep, practice your hill starts.
Overall I was really happy with the town, the area, the hotel, the amenities and the people. If you are looking to come completely away from England, this gets a big thumbs up from me.

We spent a wonderful week in the El Faro Aparthotel Cullera, I am a frequent visitor to Cullera due to business trips not far from there and took my wife and 2 daughters on a trip during the recent school holiday. The Apartments are set on the edge of a hill that has the most spectacular view of the beach to the left and the lighthouse on the right. Apartments are comfortable spacious and great for a weeks break. Town is a short drive along the coast road where the beach and restaurants are fantastic. People are really nice and friendly considering this is a traditional spanish resort away from the normal British enclaves that at times blights the coast of spain. We will return year on year from now on as this is our ideal short break option.

The hotel is located just by the sea, we had a beautiful view from our apartment. The room was clean and the service was helpful. Nice, sandy beach is just a few hundred metres from the hotel. Unfortunately in June this part of Cullera seemed to be a ghost town.

We have booked a studio in El Faro, it has its own entrance. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The view from the balcony was over the swimming pool and the sea. It was amazing. Kitchen is fully equipped, there were cutlery and all the needed dishes. We enjoyed our breakfast on the balcony :) . Cullera is quiet in the end of September, but still so beautiful and friendly.
